I am returning to the game after several months away and have noticed that many people are listing multiple master professions in thier signatures. I am a master Artisan and very close to Master Weaponsmith now but want to pick up a combat profession as well, I am down to 82 skill points.
Heres my question. If I master a profession can I surrender everything below that skill tree and maintain the skills associated with it since I have "Mastered" the profession? If I surrender novice Artisian will I loose my Master level?

No if you surrender a profession, you will lose any skills related to that profession...Although say you Mastered Artisian and you continued to make things, in which you were still getting XP, you will eventually reach the XP cap, not sure what it is with a Mastered Profession, but that XP u will always have, so you will be able to retrain some skills later if you have decide to take back up the profession that you dropped....

If you want to dump Artisan, your master goes with it. You can't dump a skill and retain one that depended on it.
