Another pally questionFollow

My other post is taking a while to get answered, but I don't mind really, it is an easy question and i figured out half of it. But anyway, the main thing. Should pallys use shields or 2-handed weapons? When I was low level, i chose the offensive path because I was stupid and didn't know what I was doing. I keep using 2-handed weapons because of the path I took. I'm not crazy about shields. Shield + Weapon = Major bucks. Sheild = More taunting. More taunting = More power needed. More power needed = Drinks. Drinks + Shield + Weapon = GAAAAAAAA! Some advice please!
