Hi, i just started playing SWG and am kinda stuck. I did something really dumb and have now only 50 credits left, a CDEF pistol and getting killed on every mission i try to do. Is someone willing to help me, either a few newstarters to do hunts together or someone to give me a bit of money and anything better than the CDEF pistol and maybe teach me a few skills? I'm on Lowca.

Try taking delivery missions instead of destroy missions (same terminal - the option is at the top).
Take the 50-80 credit missions ( these are just running from NPC to NPC in town) until you have about 600 credits , then take the ones that pay about 600. Take 2 in the ( this is important ) same direction that are about the same distance away.
Look on your planetary map and find the town that is showing your mission waypoints and shuttle there and deliver your missions. Take 2 in that town and shuttle back.
Do this until you can afford a reasonable weapon.

I might also try waiting in a cantina or by the mission terminals some people might let you tag along in there group. There are some SWG players that have been in the same boat you have and my help give you a push in the right direction. Well or pay the 100 credits and get marksman skills from a marksmans trainer!!! Start small hunt the critters just outside town. TRY not to do delivery missions. A dancer who is against delivery missions. I ran too many of them and they suck!!!!! I was forced to do them because I was in the group of dancer who started from day one and noone would tip us. So we had no choice but to run our *** off but that just gave me a great looking ***

Aye, ABCS is right about delivery mission's maximus suckage. I just suggest it as a way to a better weapon, not a long term money maker.
You can make 10k fairly easily with them and buy a decent weapon with that. From there you can do destroy missions and yes groups do help. Just dont get in one that is too advanced or you will end up with wounds you can't afford to have healed.

when i first started, i used my money to get me some bull sh*t bone armor, but hey it keeps you alive, then i went out and used unarmed. as soon as i got to unarmed 3, i had enough money to get a decent CDEF pistol, i got that then got up to pistols 2 before using a scout blaster. always try to tag along with the big guys.
