Blood vs. PowerFollow

Ummkay dudes, I know there are some threads alredy out there about this subject, but what can I say? I'm too lazy to look. ANYWAY, I have a level 20 necro and I chose the Power Gale path, but a friend of mine insists that blood is better. My rationale was that there is a healer in group 99% of time and that even if there's not, a necro can't compare to a healer on that scale. The reason I picked power was that while most groups have healers, fewer have batteries, and a mana battery really helps to keep the XP flowing smoothly. Mind you the level 20 power gale isn't the best one, but I hear from a few higher level power necros that they keep getting better. But still I can't help but wonder if I should have taken power, what do ya'll think?

Well both are good it depends on what you want, would you have health drain (blood) or, a mana drain (power) its up to you.

OK i need to say that you should realy take the Blood path. the power will do hardly anything to keep the grp full with mana. it takes 200 mana(i think) and it doesnt give hardly any, at lvl 30 my nec only recieved 200mana from the lvl 20 spell that took 20 mana to cast. the blood os the definate path to take when you start a new Nec.

There really is no right or wrong choice here. Same as the SK, blood or taunt, depends on ye want. Just becuz the majority chooses, say blood for Necs, doesn't make it the right choice.
I choose blood... no big deal, I'm not impressed with it what so ever! My Sk choose taunt, other Sk's think they are so superior to me becuz they choose blood. BS! I see too many Blood SKs trying to tank and cant keep argo. My Sk is freaking meatshield that can keep with the best of Warriors. No blood sk is going to match me Sk. SORRY U other SKs. SO, I laugh at the majority. Hahahahahahahahahah! :)

U made the right choice for u.. to hell wat the majority says.

my SHD would pwn yours sing. i chose the blood path too, and i do not have ANY trouble holding aggro. when i was lvl 20-23 i just used taunt constantly to make up for the crappyness of the spell.

Well seeing how there is no real way to test if one sk is better than another sk, it boils down to opinion, my opinion is no blood sk is going to match my taunt sk in keeping argo and tanking. Just cant do it.

I'm not that familiar with the difference but what I do know is that I have a very good friend (guildy) that took the power path and he CAN keep my mana up as well as a battery. I can heal the tank and nuke the hell out of the mob all I want and don't run out of mana.

I think you made the right choice. Not because i know a lot about the dark side. just the fact that you chose to use original thinking and not follow the crowd. I also agree with the opinion of healers and mana batteries.
Being a 51 ranger i go through mana like a madman.

My nec chose blood at 20 but i made the GOOD/bad decision to choose power at 30.

Its goo becasue it is more usefull in group and groups r much more willing to send invite to u if u can restore power.

The bad thing is that my lvl 49 epic spell wont be as good, but i got 11 more lvls to make up for that.

I prefer Power path.
