I was wondering what kind of factories I would need as a smuggler.
I want to make spice and molecular clamps..
I figured I needed a food factory to make spice, but then I suddenly noticed I can make spice with a generic crafting tool, so I wondered if I could make do with another kind of factory.. In that case, I could maybe use the same kind of factory for making my molecular clamps. I always figured I'd need two different kinds of factories for them..
Can anyone help me out here?

You do need 2 factories. For tools such as clamps you need an equipment factory. For spices you still need that food factory. As for making spices with a "generic" tool, you can but, you need a "weapon, driod and general" crafting tool to make the schematics for any smuggler type items.
