Ok, I know peeps are gonna to kill me for starting this old thing up yet again. But, after seeing so many posting about which class is the best, I have to say this....
There are NO best classes/races, only personal favorites. I have created a toon for every class/race there is. All these toons are at least level 20 or better. Some has an advantage over others. Some are ham-strung compared to others. But all are damm fun to play.
My fav is still the Bard, My least is fav is a XXXXXX. I wont say it, becuz my oppinon means squat when measured aginst your persoanl taste.
I hope this dont start a flame posting.

Yeah, exactly. That doesn't mean every class/race has the same capabilities, but the pros vs. pros of say, for example, Bars and elves, cancel each other out and are equal. Sure you start in a different city (Teth sux =P) and have better NATURAL abilites, but in the end, both can be created equally. Once again, I don't mean that they have the same capabilities. Delf wars can't get every coach that a Delf enc can, but a enc can't tank like a war can. I think that SoE has done a great job evening out the pros and cons, IMO.

I agree there is no best class or race. Everyone will have their personal favorites (I know I do). The only advantage a race/class may have is starting location. Teth is a real bad location to start in. Barbs & Qey humans do have a advantage that they can go get a lot of coaches at a low level but that doesn't mean that they are the best choice for everyone. Even the start towns are either good or terrible depending on who you ask. Frontiers has made getting from one coast to the other even easier. A lvl 1 erudite can go and get the Freeport coach no problem, same goes for an eastern human for getting Highbourne.

its all about personal preference, i personally like to tank, others like to heal some prefer DD. all classes are balanced but SKs own lol j\k

I agree with all of the above. it is personal. my favorite is a Necromancer. My least favorite is any low lvl character, because things r different. lol
