Gnome Alchemist 20 questFollow

I need to hear from any gnome alchemist on the location of the first mobs you need to kill - Stink beetles East of HB - where are they? Are they called something else. I cant find em? Help!

took me a long time to find them too... There on the EAST side of the aviak village section. Not Northeast... but the north side of east. There's a small aviak outpost next to a "mountain" much larger than any normal hill. Giant stink beetles tend to be on the hill just northeast of that outpost.

btw... it's VERY hard to solo this at level 20. I couldn't... I tried rooting and nuking... but the alchy root is TERRIBLE! just slows them down to like 75% speed until the next time they're hit... and while you're casting you can only walk for a few seconds... ends up being more harm than good unless you're running.... also really hard for an alchy to fight on the run with so many blue aggros wandering around... you'll need help.

The stoneite thing's easier to find... but even harder to get. They're yellow like the beetle... but surrounded by lots of red aggros... light blue to my 32 shamen. Fear not... it's only like 2 minutes run south of HP, so it's not too hard to get a decently high level person to kill one for you while they're waiting for their group or something.


(one thing I'm stuck on is where to get the level 20 side quests to get the darn spells. Anyone hear of "Septic mix?" it's a poison DOT that first lowers poison resist by 30, then ticks for a base of almost 200 (plus a bonus from dex) for 30 ticks.... VERY VERY nice spell.... but noone I know knows where to find it. One person suggested it was a CM... but my guide says nothing about alchemist CMs.... it's like 700 pages... not one alchy CM... useless....)
