CH petsFollow

Just got CH a few days ago and a friend of mine let me fight with his pet ( a dewback with some not so bad stats). Anyways, i was wondering, are the stats in the () the max stats of the creature?

Also, i just bought a pet and when i heal it, the text says you have healed mob/creature named:bio_engineered_ blah blah blah. So, do these bio engineered pets get larger and gain stats over time like the first pet, my friend's pet.

The dewback i saw improvement in stats in a few hours, but with my new pet, i've been fighting with him for almost 3 hours i guess, but nothing has changed.

As a side note, the dewback pet had a difficulty lvl of 0, where as my pet has a lvl of 24, but is at a lvl 2 now. Thanks for the help.
