Chilastra, avoiding Lag by planet Hopping?Follow

Ok I know there are simpler answers to my problem, but I am getting a ton of lag, I only have 256mg of ram and I am using a dialup service not even worth naming to connect to SWG. I was wondering if going to a less populated planet would help with my lag issues. I tried putting a 512RAm card into my computer but for some reason my mother board will not accept the change even though it claims to be able to support 1.5g RAM. So as a last ditch effort due to a RL financial crunch I am proposing moving to another planet. Is there a good planet to go with a smaller population and a garenteed source of holocrons. Which is my reason for being on Corellia, the most populated planet in the galaxey, to begin with. Upgrading my computer right now is just not an option and getting Cable or DSL is not very viable right now either.

Factor in that I am also a Jack-of-all-trades solo Rebel player trying to follow a good campaign story line.

Well...

Any suggestions...

I was looking at the quest park inforamtion on this site. I'm thinking that I will be going to Dantooine now, does anyone know if there is much lag there on the Chilathra server? I'm actually hoping that fewer players will be there, even though that means there will be less PtoP support on tougher missions.

What type of memory did you try to upgrade with?
if it is DDR and you were using SDR - you may need to change all the jumpers to use the DDR.

No I checked that and I have sd ram, and was trying to use sd ram. I then thought it might be the bios, but the bios says that I can handle 512mg, and the board says that I can handle 1.5g ram. I am still working on it however and hope to at least be runningat 512 soon. However untill then I am still looking for the less populated areas on the Chilastra server.

I've been growin up on tat and do ok with dial up, 512 ram memory, and 64 ram graphics with just the lighting not the better PS/VS.

It does very well and I recommend anchorhead but I'm not yet involved in factions. Not alot of holo trading but in Bestine there is. Anchorheads just my resupply stop as I most solo for hours which then there is no lag and I can play with volumistic shadows and radial flora.

when I goto town I always have to adjust my graphics and turn most all of them off. But anchorhead sometimes supports some of them well. Its a SMALL reb... shuttle stop but always populated and can find training easy. The cantinas has its ents
which most are not AFK I even have seen this cross server.

The single story shanty town style helps keep it lagless.

My only advice for living on dant on the chilastra server is stay clear of the crystal caves. Other than that you could go just about anywhere.
