PC or PS2Follow

I use to play EQ online via PC a long time ago, at least 3 yrs ago. It was my first online game and I've played many since then. I miss EQ tho and now that it's out for PS2 I'm wondering if I should try it. My biggest gripe about EQ was the downtime. God, you were forever waiting for your mana to go back up (unless you had breeze/clarity from an enchanter) and the same about your health. Anyways..I've heard that the downtime on PS2 isn't as bad, but does that make it a better game? Have they ever fixed ANY of the long downtime on EQ PC?

Thanks for your opinions, I'm curious as to which direction I should go.

Everything happens at a faster pace on the PS2 version. Maybe instead of EQOA it could be called EQ:Arcade.

The everquest for the PS2 is much different than the PC version.
Now food and drinks actually replace your lost health and power, so the downtime is almost none.
The ps2 version is actually set in norrath 500 years before the pc version. ex. tolls havent lost grobb to the frogloks yet

frontiers is the new expansion for the ps2. it raises the lvl cap to 60, adds the race orge, and the class alchemist. it also adds the rathe moutians, odus, plane of sky, and lavastorm. graphics were enchanced and sony claims thousands of new items added.

in my opinion, this game is much better than the pc. with the right items u will almost never have to wait on your health and power

id suggest u try frontiers, when u buy the game it comes with a free 30days (i think) so that could give u time to try it out.
clw is the biggest server and most people on it. as you probly know, to get a good feel of the game it takes alot of playing time

If ya come to play come on over to PPO. The newb/drama server.

Actulally, PPO doesn't have half the drama of CLW, at least so far as I've seen. Plus, just b/c there's drama, doesn't mean you have to be involved in it. All of the servers have drama. All of the servers have noobs. PPo is the recommended server when you first register, so lots of ppl think its the newb server. But, there are a lot of high end toons there too. It's a fair mix of everything on every server. Good luck and Happy hunting.

Dont mean to steal the thread but...Trolls lose grobb to froglocks? I hope EQOA keeps releasing expansions to catch up to the PC version.
