just wonering if any1 has heard or done anything with a quest recieved from a fungus man - i have logged the quest with a guildy and here is what i got:
His (npc's name eludes me atm)dialog is all scrambled as if it was sensered, however there is 2 obvious choices.
1. a completly unreadable choice, when chosen u recieve a quest with the same outcome - unreadable:(
2.simply put "I don't understand you.", when this option is chosen the dialog is ended.
so.... lol. if any1 has any info plz send me an in game mail to
1 of the following - Kortex, Kelvezu, Romel, all on Hodstock server.

I've herad of this before. It was awhile ago but I remember them saying that the fungus dude is speaking in code. U have to figure out the code. I also saw this quest listed on a site but like I said it was long time ago and I forgot. Sorry man.
P.S It may have been posted on EQOA main forums at station.com. I think thats where I saw it being explained.

i saw it being explained at the station.sony.com site too...basically they said he had a jumbled message that was like a decoder ring...something about moving the alphabet over by 3 or something..or backwards...wasnt sure..but i know they were talking about it...

Oh man, I sure hope if there is a quest here it's not something too cool. I just killed a ton of these guys the other night, until we got sick of waiting for them to spawn anyway. :(

heh - no worries - quest was kewl - but not really worth the time me n a guildy put into it - the reward was below my current lvl - fyi - lvl 33 atm
Just curious...I've heard somthing regarding a scrambled quest; was it given to you in Feerot? If so, all that I know is that (1) Unscramble the message (obviously) and (2) i think it's a lvl 21ish weapon with 20 wis or something like that. Not sure though.

The NPC's name is Funi Bacter (I've seen this spelled a couple different ways in game). For completion of the quest you get a nice lvl 24 pitchfork and a rose, no xp though. So unless you can use the pitchfork I wouldn't even bother. And yes, the quest is in code, but it's more like an anagram.
