Hi, I have 435 Rebel Faction Points and -3452 Imperial Faction Points. What are my options as far as lower my Neg. Imp. Pts? I have noticed that scanners are starting to pick me off. Also what is the highest number of Neg. Pts. I can have and not get in trouble? I'm covert 99% of the time. Thanks for your help.
Covert scanners will detect you since:
a. got too close
b. covert (hence covert scanner detection device)
Negative faction points really don't matter as much as the fact that the covert scanner is up and running. The max that you can have in any faction is -5000. Just make note of where those scanners are. /shrug hope that helps. I always assume that there will be covert scanners up in any player made city/outpost and I take careful steps to have an escape route, until I get to know the town a bit better. Makes the game a bit more exciting though! Hope that helps you a bit.

Maschinen is correct, however to answer your question re: lowering faction points, one way is to take Imperial delivery missions. *WARNING -the following advice may lead to boredom and/or lessened brainwave activity!*
Take the lowest paying missions possible in a town such as bestine and just run info back and forth. Lower reward = less distance running. Two missions at a time give you 12 points each run and you get no negative Reb faction. Plus you make just enough to gas up your Dad's Landspeeder after that big date in Mos Eisley.
