statisticaly an erudite because their base int and wis is really high like 80s and 90s. but it does not matter whatever you want

Mages, Chanters and Necros used to have a DEX curve that would increase their spell attacks, but since an update a while ago thats no longer the case.

I wouldnt put alot of points into DEX as a mage because it won't make a great difference. Definetly put most into your main stats (the blinking ones) being INT the main main stat and AGI being the second main stat for mages.

Also put some points into STA to atleast raise your HP incase you get attacked it will help save your life.

DEX really affects Wizards the most because its one of their main stats and it does affect their damage potential by a larger margarin than other casters.

So then, the only things to pump at all on magicians are agility and some stamina? No dex AT ALL anymore, correct? Is there any way to make your pets more powerful through stats? And one more... Does INT determine how powerful your magely nukes are now?

With frontiers the allocation of points is kind of tricky. If you want to be one of the mage master classes, they all have different stat requirements. I would use that as your general guideline for where to put points once your main stats (INT and AGI) get to the point you want.

As for the damage modifier question, DEX is still our modifier, but instead of being 60% as it is for Wizzies, it is only 30%. I personally am thinking of being a Pyromancer, so I have started putting points into DEX, since it requires base INT of 200 and base DEX of 150.

As for the original question of which race, Erudites have the best starting primary stats, so they have a slight lead. Their CMs also have pretty decent POW adds. Gnomes, my pick, are a close second, and since all of their race CMs give you PoT, that helps with keeping drinking to a minimum.
