I'm curious what everyone else's opinion is on this topic. I think it ruins the game. I'd like to get my hands on a few items like the cv, but I am not paying cash for it. Also it cheapens my hard earned accomplishments by letting people pay money buy rather than earn the way I and most have. I just wonder if you will ever see them throw a bone and put out some all/all robes. Wouldn't that be a kick in the shorts to the greedy bastards who payed 200 or 300 american dollars for their CV's.

I could really care less about selling items, though i think sony does, if someone is dumb enough to waste the money for o well. Now the characters i have a problem with, by getting a character to fifty you learn how to play that character, now someone al of a sudden gets this character and has no idea of the role they are to play. Why should i get killed by someone who hasnt earned the character they are playing.

Sony absolutely cares, you are correct. I think there is a suspension or outright banishment if caught trading accounts, tunar, or items for real money.

You can sell/trade your account(s) as you see fit and Sony will not do anything. As for how this degrades the game i will take an example from EQPC.

Someone who plans on selling their account usually ends up selling/giving away all their items. On the PC version food was not for regen but required to have for survival. So after a time of people buying accounts that have never played the game you end up with a lvl 50+ character running around newb areas asking how to eat (it was an automatic function, you just had to have the food in your inventory).

Now if that isn't the perfect example of how selling accounts would cripple the high end community then please share your examples. I don't mean it won't have an impact on the lowbie end of the game just that it will not be as bad because even at level 34 I am still learning how to play my charcter.
