I am currently working up to Novice Carbineer and I was wondering which other class would benefit this decision. I've tried most other combat classes on other chars, but I want something new with this one. Would Squad Leader help or be a fun new class to try? After checking the character builder, I will be able to master both carbineer and squad leader, along with up to Exploration and Hunting 4 with 9 skill points left over. They both can complement each other by the looks of it, but would probably be difficult to level the Squad Leadership xp. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks

Sethrak- Corbantis
Rathos- Lowca-BH/Ranger
Valkk- Ahazi-Master Artisan/TKA in training
Rynbagga- Sunrunner-Master Medic/Swordsman in training

Yes! go! go fulfill your dreams! kick some a**, seabass!
;D

...anyway, I'm really trying to be helpful here. I agree, it looks like it would work together - raising morale, working up combat frenzy, then dropping to a knee and unloading with a minigun (yay!).. or something to that effect.

How do you get Squad leader experience? does it involve just using the skills you gain as a squad leader? it seems like, if you party up, you'd be the toast of the town with all the heals and what not.

Unfortunately I have no experience with the class, so I guess I'm not telling you anything you don't already know - but it would be nifty to see.

Do not get Squad Leader. Squad Leader is by far the most broken and useless class in the game. 3/4ths of their abilities don't work, and your skill points are better spent elsewhere.

I've heard smuggler is a good support class, but I'm not sure if it'd go as well with carbiner rather than pistoleer. Maybe TKA (for close ranged) or CH (pets) or medic (healing). Just some ideas. Good luck man, go with what's fun.

Carbines are great, once you have some specials and a good idea of what you are good against. I can solo difficult mobs at a relatively low level (action shots and auto fires rock at taking on multiple HAM bars!)

I chose Fencer by the way, wanted to try a new brawler class anyway LOL.
