when do you think they will be made, or know if they are even beeing worked on.
i dotn play emulators because i dodge payment to the official company, i play them because i dotn liek playing uinder the rules and rugulations and nerfs of companies that create updates based on $$$.
with emulators, the admin make updates to make game play enjoyable, nto to keep you there grinding.
i woudl liek to see ocmpanies release liscenable emulators for the customers, so that peopel can pick and choose which servers they liek most based on the rules and which patches and updates are installed.
to continue to have monthly fees, the comanies can still charge peopel to play them or charge the admins to run them. I am not tryign to dodge paying them, i just dont want top pay them if i dont liek the way things are, and id hate to quit as well.
Anyways, that will never happen, maybe it will..maybe someday they will allow players top rubn their own swg servers, but until then i have to rely on underground emulated servers and that is my question if any of you know of one, or one in the works.

You need the source code for the engine to make a game emulator, and I really doubt that Sony would every allow that to leave their sites.
The chances of people capitalizing on them will make this situation worse. Just deal with the nerfs like everybody else.
And, really? You don't play because it's free? I doubt that. Writing all that B.S. about not liking management and rules is the worst B.S. I've ever seen.

They did for eq, there were emulators for it. Thnk the site was showeq.com or something like that. People could do their own servers. But patches kept ******** it up and it became maintenance hell i think.

i had 2 swg accounts <still have>, 3 uo accounts <dropped in favor of an em> an eq account, ac account and my newest account at ffxi..i play uo ems and played an eq em. I enjoy the emulators cause people install what patches they liek best for their server, and change configs and bascially redo the game in a way that is more fair and more entertaining, albiet if is ran by a mature person.
some of us care littl eabout a fe wbucks a month, i pay more fo rmy cable bill then i do all games i ver played. matte rof fact, i wish a game woudl come out that charged atleast 100 dollars a month so that it gets top notch design and no bs..cause company knows peopel who are there want to be there and an account means alot so they dont want the risk of losign to many, so they dont **** around. course, no to many peopel would pay that but i would if its an actual good game, perhaps a twitch rpg i hate auto-stat combat heh.
