For me this whole thing has been a comedy of errors. I went to the midnight launch in Plymouth, MA. It was freezing outside (literally, 34 deg F, so just above freezing) and there were about 200 of us hard-core WoW-addicts standing around outside Gamestop for 2.5 hours freezing our collective tushies off. Time passed quickly as we all talked, laughed and counted the minutes until midnight. At midnight Gamestop finally opened their doors (ahhhh, warmth at last).
They started ringing up sales and within 5 minutes their server crashed, leaving those paying by credit/debit cards up the proverbial creek. Fortunately I had prepaid in full, so I just had to wait for the 10 or so people ahead of me to be taken care of.
Got home around 12:30 all pumped to install the game only to find out that my DVD drive has *$#& the bed (nooooooo, tears of anguish start welling up). I tried everything I could think of to no avail - finally gave up and went to bed around 3:30.
This morning I took a break from work to hit up the local Best Buy to get an external DVD drive so I can install and start playing tonight. What should catch my eye upon entering the store but a big display of WotLK including the CE - all for sale, not reserved. So $220 later I now have a functional DVD drive, a CE WotLK, a standard WotLK, a massive headache, and I'm jonesing to play. Just hope I can stay awake long enough...
