WotLK Midnight MadnessFollow

Well, here it comes, the WotLK release. And on top of that, they are even giving the more sleep deprived of us the ability to get it at midnight and, in some areas, meet the Blizzard staff. Well, we have decided to get in on the fun. We have a wiki page all whipped up to cover the event and some of the staff are actually going to be in caffeine induced comas to witness the fun.

This is where you all come in. Wanna be on Alla's? Well, send us your pictures and stories of that mad rush and WotLK copy gank you ran on your neighbors. Provided there isn't something that can get us (and you) arrested, you could just end up on the wiki and score yourself a month of premium on us!

That's right, a month of premium. Free to you. All we require (besides the first born thing and all) is pictures and stories of your experiences at the midnight madness.

Hoping to pop in and out of my local one in Manchester NH. Granted, since I don't have a car, a lot will depend on how quickly the cab comes to the house, and then to the store after I'm done there...

Picking my copy up at the stroke of midnight and my friend who lives close by is picking me up while his copy is installing to hang out at his house.
I'm ditching two days of school for this I'm such a bad student.
I just finished midterms though, I deserve a break

Gamestop is doing a pre-release party at 10pm and the robo-call I got informing stated that customers will be permitted to ring up thier purchase then so that come midnight they can just grab the box and leave the store.

Will be taking pictures on my cell phone of the midnight release at GameCrazy in Pahrump, NV to send in.

I'm hoping to be at something tonight... My original order was for the store on the side of Madison I live on. I've tried for the past couple days to move my order to the other side of town as that Best Buy is opening at midnight. After finally getting a "normal" person on the phone, I find they only have 1 copy at that store available. So it's either that or see what the local Gamestops will have. I'll try to take a camera with to either location.

I'll be going to a GameStop in Harvey, LA (it's a suburb of New Orleans) for the midnight release tonight.

I'm pretty sure a few of my friends from my guild will be there as well.

I'll bring my camera and snap any interesting pics I can.

I'm on mountain time, but when midnight hits i'll get some pics up from Utah

I was amazed. They had you turn in your receipt before midnight, they printed out a ticket receipt, put a number on it, and had you line up in order of your numbers starting at about 11:55. I was #65 and there was a huge line behind me. Safe to say there was close to 100 people there for the game, easy.

We all herded outside of the closest mall entrance in a cold drizzle and eagerly anticipated the unlocking click. As soon as 11:50 rolled up the 150 of us began to crowd the door. Finally when the clock struck twelve there was a nerd rage I had never seen before. Some person was lined up and ended up crushed behind the door of the mall (which lost it's hinges) then everyone sprinted through the mall until we arrived at EB. Where we waited and had to enter 4 at a time. Free poster and game in hand I was very satisfied except for the initial nerd rage.

The security guard who opened the door was ******** bricks, I don't think he was familiar with the term "Nerd Rage".

So I decided to sleep, and pick up the game during the day tomorrow. So I crash out and I am totally asleep when the phone rings. Is it the freaky 19 year old I am seeing looking for late night sex, is it a family emergency, is it that guy with the sack on his head who chased me across the legislature that one night? No its our guilds Fury Warrior with a copy of Wotlk eating Jack in the Box with a box of Red Bulls about to head home and install Wotlk asking if I had my copy.

So here I am, not asleep, with no copy of the game grumpy and tired.
