Hey all,
I don't know if I am missing something or what, but I can't seem to figure out how to feed the fish in this 2nd step of the quest "The Beast of the Barrel" quoted below.
("It turns out that Sisipu is in charge of feeding the fish being raised in the man-made ponds known as the Barrel, and for today, that duty has been passed to you. Take your bucket of special bait and speak with Rerenasu down by the docks for a ride to the Barrel.")
I have received the barrel of feed from Sisipu, although it doesn't show under key items or anything. When I enter the Barrel instance, I can see the ??? marks where I assume you feed the fish, but nothing comes up in the interaction menu. I can't "fish" there, I tried equipping the feed to secondary or lure slot, but it doesn't show.
So, basically I've tried running around all the ???s to see if anything pops up, but notta, zip, zilch. I feel like I am missing something obvious, but I have tried this twice now, once a few days ago and again today (figured I'd give my mind a break and come back to it).
Hoping someone can help me out.

Click on the ??? plain and simple. after you have done that to them all, you have to do some emote minigame.

Well, I am getting very frustrated. What seems like an easy part of this quest is stumping me. Clicking on the ??? does nothing. I tried all four. I've gone back to N'nmulika in the fishing guild and she says:
"Fine food for our fine fish! So fine, in fact, that it is fit for a fisher, as well as a flounder! No one here will judge you if you cannot fight the urge to feast on a handful of that fabulous fodder intended for the fishery. If you happen to run out of Sisipu's special blend, you need only ask for more."
But, I get no option to ask for more, so I assume that I still have the barrel of feed somewhere in my key items or wherever. I am starting to wonder if the quest got bugged in one of the more recent updates. Has anyone done this since the november update?
I wouldn't mind so much, but not finishing the quest is stopping me from getting some of the guild mark abilities.

should see the item in your journal? I know that is where you can usually see them. I dunno for rank 30 quest but rank 20 the pixie remora showed in my journal.

I know this is a bit old now, but I just wanted to update. I left this quest for a long time, just kept leveling despite it. But, I was recently reading about someone having similar trouble with the Marauder lvl 36 quest I think it was, and he was told he needed to tab onto the ??? point.
That got me thinking, "Did I try everything except tabbing onto it?" Apparently so, because I went back to the fishing area and right away tabbed onto the ??? point. I think I must have assumed that because you can't click on it at all, that tabbing wouldn't work either.
I hope this may help someone else who may have tried everything else, except tabbing. >< Just in case there is someone as "slow" as me heh,

You are not slow. It is deceiving that the person said just click on it. When you are explaining something you should be as thorough as possible. Now I am stuck on the "dance part"

Easy enough. Same thing. Just be sure to tab onto the ??? and dance then do the 4 emote (jestures) to that ??? (tab on ??? each time). Then go to the next ??? and tab and dance, then tab and emote x 4 and so on to all 4 ???

I am stuck in the middle of this quest. I have fed the fish and danced for three of the four schools of fish successfully but I unwittingly danced for them out of order or something because the last school of fish still has the question mark above it. I have talked to the various npcs, gone back on different days and repeated the dance and motions I was told to do but with no success. The motions for this school of fish are /beckon, /wave, /clap and I targeted the school each time and the npc responded negatively to each motion. Then nothing. I am beginning to wonder if there is a problem with the quest... Can anyone suggest something else I might try? Thanks in advance for your help. :)

A follow up to my previous post: I tried everything I could then finally abandoned the quest. It was offered to me again when I entered the fishing guild so I'm doing it over. This was a lesson learned, if you can't find a way to make it work you can cancel and start all over. A tip though, dance for the fish from one end of the barrel to the other, don't do them out of order!
