Warlock at 74Follow

#1 Mar 26 2011 at 11:26 AM Rating: Default
Hi guys!
I am planning to level my warlock to 74, get full brutal gear and have fun in the 70-74 bracket for some time.
Since it isn't max level, I suppose the trees and stats aren't yet balanced, so I'm looking for some advice regarding which talents I should take and which stats are more powerful at that level. (any talent tree is welcome)
Thank you.

From my limited experience, there's nobody PvPing with stopped xp so just level from wherever you are now to 70+ in BG's and you'll actually get to PvP.
As an added bonus, you'll learn how to play your class.

For just around 1k honor points you can pick up pretty much full burtal gladiator right at level 70. I used it from 70-74 leveling in BG's and had a blast. From 75 on I suggest going to dungeons or quests to keep leveling, since the 78+ will have Cataclysm leveling greens.

actually the 70 bracket is absolutely booming right now.

op i recommend you stay at 70. the resilience and crit etc scales better at 70 vs 74. you'll notice in that bracket probably 95% of players choose to twink at 70 instead of 74.

74 you get a few extra talent points but to be honest you wont get a whole lot of respect. my dk is 74 and i kind of regret it now, if i knew then what i do now i would have stayed at 70.

as for spec, no reason not to try them all. affliction = tab dotter applies heavy pressure and damage through the whole BG but doesnt necessarily get many kills which finish people off. that doesnt mean pressure isnt important to your team. demo can burst people down through meta and destro also has control and burst..pick your poison but honestly just play them all.

Wait...is 70 a separate bracket? I thought it was 70-74.
If you mean that you get more reduction from resilience the lower you are, that reduction isn't actually against targets "your" level (thus nullifying the point of staying at 70?)

its 70-74

what i mean with resilience and crit is as you level their effectiveness drops. in full brutal gear your resilience will be more effective at 70 then 74.

to be fair you'll have a little higher base health at 74, need less chance to hit enemies since they're all equal or lower then you.

in the end not a big difference i guess, just pointing it out.

Not in my battlegroup, I stayed in queue for about 7-8 hours at level 70 without a single battleground popping up (not in one go of course but spread out over a whole saturday, which is usually a really busy day).
