I tried a few rated BGs, can't say i'm too impressed. I prefer getting 6 arena wins a week to cap CP. I'm running holy and boosting a prot warrior friend. We obviously can't touch healers but it's amusing to see double dps try to hack through 170k hp, or chase me round pillars and feed me HP for free heals. The one exception was a team of two unholy DKs spamming necrotic strike, that was fun. Getting slowly killed by white attacks and pets as every single heal i cast was fully absorbed.

Mike, no guildies you can play with? The honor grind is soul-crushing this time around, for some reason. I honestly think you're better off just getting conquest points and gearing up in Vicious instead.

I LOVE rated BG's. For me, fighting over objectives will always be more fun than just straight-up fighting. That said, for my guild this is what you might call a "building season" :). When we can get a team together we always have a lot of fun, but we don't win enough to cap out CP's every week. While I don't love arena, I am having more fun with it than I expected, and knowing I can get my CP's there before rated BG night (and thus get honor in rated BG matches) takes the pressure off the battlegrounds.

Yeah I need to make more of an effort to play with people. I've been super casual lately I just hop on do a few BGs most days and logoff. But I do want to gradually get back into arena again, and rated BGs seem like they'd be really fun, I should look for a PVP guild or something.

Switching between toons will be the death of me.

I got jumped the last night on my druid, and the first thing I did was hit my Shadowfury keybind. Of course my druid doesn't have shadowfury, he actually has wild growth keybound there. Took me a minute to remember that.

Does that count as a PvP accomplishment?

Well yay! I like that logic. If that's the case, I'm a total winner then.

I don't think I've ever gotten 600 kills in one night. Good job. :)

First rated BG was against an easy team. Smiley: frown

Only reason I died was because their healer (the druid targeted in the screenshot) was probably super pissed at me for constantly finding her and locking her down the whole game with shadow dance/smoke bomb.

Got my weapon today, went mace instead of dagger. So I'm done with weapon/OH/wand and have to decide where to go next with gear choices.

Built a new computer and switched to ret! When I finish honor grinding and get my weapon I want to find a serious 3s team. I setup tons of arena macros and want to give it a shot, I think I can do better as ret then I've ever done as holy. Bursting people is fun. I surprise alot of frost mages. Have difficulties with warriors and some ferals. Still need way more gear I'm so far behind the curve right now. But I just treat it as if I were a fresh 85 who just dinged and now gearing up.

I need a weapon to put a chain on, I dont want to put one on my PVE weapon. But it sucks getting 10 second disarmed all the time. 2-3 more weeks assuming I get games in every week.

This is obviously why I asked as I went mace because it looks cooler than the dagger. Looking fashionable is paramount to achieving glory in PvP.

So it cost me 2k honor and a couple hundred gold but my rogue is now in full brutal gear with WotLK enchants. The resulting stats are quite scary to be honest.

ilevel: 143
13974 hp
44.27% crit
487 resi (32.23% damage reduction)

That's pretty much what my rogue was rocking in Wrathful gear (the crit% and resil damage reduction).

It's really, really funny when you PvP with that kind of gear.

Especially because Ambush still crits for 3.5-4k, 5cp evis for ~4k and backstab for 2-2.5k on equally geared players.

Oh yeah, and ambush getting another 60% crit chance from talents Smiley: tongue

I remember doing some PvP on my Druid back in WotLK when he was Restoration. I had no PvP gear except for the trinket, but because I used Cyclone and Roots, I only died once. Not because I was being OP with healing and stuff, because the one time I did die, I dropped before I had any chance of healing myself back up.

Turns out CC is a bit of a myth in PUG PvP. Someone even commented me on how I might not have any PvP gear, but I sure knew how to PvP.

Enhanced my epeen a fair bit.

Yeah I think of the healers, druids have the coolest CC options. Its fun hibernating other druids in travel form. And sorry mage, you wont be landing that frostbolt on me, I'm casting cyclone.

(did I mention my druids name is Cycloner?)

Target swaps are rough to handle though. But I like the resto playstyle. I keep moonkin as an off spec so when I get sick of honor grinding I go typhoon people off the cliff in AB =D

People used to say i was good on my pally when i put blessing of protection on them in pug BGs lol. What's good is me shadowstep kicking heals or doing sap blind vanish sap combos on well geared players. Do people notice? No they just break my damn cc. Sub is still an endless amount of fun though. Nothing beats making a healer go into defensive self-preservation mode then in literally a split second transferring combo points and teleporting to the flag carrier to drop them in a flawlessly timed smoke bomb. SO GOOD.

There's a druid on Kazzak (Gladiator too I believe) who's name is Sighclone, you can't beat that.

Edit: And Shadowstep > Kick is one of those little things that make me feel totally awesome, along with shadowstepping hunters when they disengage because I know how **** that feels for the hunter.

I'm a belf right now because the toon had been sitting at 41-44 for about a year and was originally just made to **** around a bit.
I've seriously considered going goblin though, the mobility or extra burst seems like it could come in handy and cooler than WotF.

I doubt I'll stay belf as I just forget about the silence too often for some reason.
