Hey all,
I just started a human race in WoW, and don't really have any idea what I am doing. I thought it would be cool if you tell me about all of your experiences when you started WoW and how you ascended from noobhood!

I like that you assume that anyone here has ascended from noobhood. Smiley: tongue

But in seriousness, I learned to stop being a noob by making a whole lot of really noobish mistakes and learning from them. Do you have any previous MMO experience? Having played a few others in addition to WoW, I can say that there are a number of lessons that will carry over. But the most important thing you need to not be a noob in any MMO is patience, especially for the real human beings at the other end of the characters you group up with. That and an ability to notice when you're standing in fire.

I don't really have much experience at all with MMO's, but thanks so much for the tips! The patience is definitely something I have been working on, it is very easy to get frustrated. How long have you been playing MMOs?

Since mid 2005 or so, if I recall correctly. Though there have been a few periods where I wasn't playing any. Right now, I'm on a break from them, though I do keep getting these urges to pick WoW back up(the reason I keep an eye on this section of the website) or find some people to play FFXIV with.
