Make certain that you get Handy Notes with the Draenor Treasures update.

Each treasure you find is about 18-20k experience, so more often than not, greater than a quest xp gain. I went 90-97 faster with my 520 ilvl ww monk, than I could have dared to dream with my 585 Ret Paladin. Now I skipped quest chains and other stuff to speed it up, however it is pretty awesome finding 3 treasures and maing 60k xp while doing a 13k xp quest.

The caveat is that the treasures rely on (and use up) Rested XP, so you only get 18k+ if you're Rested.

otherwise, it is only 9-10k, however, that is still good.

The main perk to finding the treasures is all of the equipment and garrison resources you find. If you are an enchanter, the vast majority of your dust income through the leveling path will be from Draenor Treasures that you DE for dust.

And of course, building a War Factory or Dwarven Bunker for the increased chance of upgrades is a very solid choice (IMO: replace the Barracks with the Factory/Bunker ASAP), you find a LOT of gear just laying around the world or on Rares (most of which are easily solo'd).

The treasures are solid advice. They may vary somewhat in their bounty, but they're a freebie and there are a bunch of them.

Two of the newer additions are also useful. Follower missions with XP shown as purple add a healthy amount of XP if successful. I've found that it is often worth grinding the zones marked with crossed swords too. Not only do they have decent XP, but they often overlap with other goals that you might want to accomplish. For example, the Alliance starting area has a technician up on a hill. Hold off the wolves and he becomes a follower, at a time when you're just starting to get followers together. OK, I admit it, I have a bit of a weakness for followers and missions.

I would suggest against the Warmill while leveling if your an enchanter . In theory it sounds good but more often than not you will get rare to epic upgrades and if the epic has less then 600 ilvl it will DE into a Sha crystal. If anything wait til Nagrand then build it least that makes quest rewards 610-620

If your leveling alts I suggest a lvl 1 enchanters building on everyone til 100 because its free dust/mats, change it out for w/e then (its only 50 Mats and 100 gold). Get your toons started early collecting mats. The intro sequence then the quests to upgrade to a lvl 2 barracks will hit you 92 and only take like 2 hours. Thats free lvl 2 mines and 2 prof buildings.

If your toon doesnt have a trade pick up any armor trade. You can make the 600 skill daily CD item even at lvl 1 + that proff building thats 10 mats a day or a piece of armor every ten days. You can also buy the recipe (with a book) and make the armor at 1 skill) Try to stay away from Alchemy and Scribes atm though. Cards are very hit or miss and alchemy CD can be AHed. Im sitting on like 400 atm.

Aftr I hit 100 on Drac first I did a few cap things then rushed all my toons to 92 and unlocked Garrison 2 (Mines 2) with 2 prof building. I now have a nice supply line. Im making around 25~30k every other day. Its starting to slow down a little bit now though

I took a War Mill on my enchanter, and I am Lv98 and I have been putting in Work Orders every day, and I still have ~500 dust and that number is rapidly growing.

I have ~12 crystals on me, and that goes up every day.

You do get a few Sha Crystals, sure. But in my experiences, it might be one or two per zone, even with the War Mill and that's assuming that you didn't actually need the epic upgrades for your character.

You can also build a Blacksmith Shop and make blue items out of ore (not bars!!) to DE as well. With the fact that everybody gets a Lv3 mine eventually, you will have plenty of ore to get new dust every day.

EDIT: Also for every 1 Epic Upgrade, you get 1-2 Rare Upgrades in a zone. A Rare Upgrade means you get 10-12 dust instead of 2-4 from the item if it were a green. It balances out.
