to say that this story line is ludicrous isn't an understatement, it is a sign that our language does not have a proper word in its lexicon to encapsulate how ridiculous the story is.
TL;DR version: -Garrosh kills Kairoz after he (Kairoz) suggests/gives the idea of using the Orcs in a new horde to raid not only Azeroth, but other worlds too. Kairoz has time shards/crystals. Tells Garrosh they still have power, as they are glimpse of time (that could be used as gate ways). Garrosh takes stones. -Garrosh goes my Stranger. Fights some orcs in a fighting pit. Orcs all "zomg, he fights like Grommash and not all rage-mode like us!" -Garrosh has a little talk with his "father". Learns he was never born in this "time line". Tells his father they should go see the elements. -They go to the elemental stones in Nagrand. The elements are going all ******** crazy. -Elder Zhanak (old orc shaman) does not like Garrosh at all. Sees through him. -Grommash goes and asks the elements to show him the truth via the crystals. -Sees what he has done (drinking of the blood), and what happens with his people (the wars). -Garrosh kills Zhanak, as he sees the visions as well. He knows that what Garrosh plans to do will jack the timeline up. -Garrosh stops the element's vision right as it is about to show what Thrall grows up to become.
This story does help set up.
- Due to the vision not fully being seen, I wonder what the means for the expansion. Seems it is going to be the same kind of loop, just ends a little different (Grommash maybe dies towards the end, but finds out the entire truth and that his son played him) -I know wonder if Grommash finds out Garrosh is his son, at all, before he dies (Garrosh that is). -Garrosh, just can't accept that he is a total failure of a leader and orc >.>
