40 min Lore from beginning to current. I found it fun to watch. I actually bought the audiobook of War crimes because this made me interested.

This was surprisingly entertaining and informative. I've been playing since Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, but I'd forgotten so much about the story. All those annotations, though... damn. Was about to click one, but I don't think there is enough time left in my life to watch through all those videos. This condensed version will have to do.

Something I've been wondering about for a long time: The Warcraft logo stylizes the word as WarCraft, but the capital C is never used in writing. However, StarCraft is almost always written with a capitalized C. What gives?

I just finished "War Crimes" it was pretty decent overall (narrator sucked). Really hoping the last battle from the book is in Warlords as an instance or somehow playable. If you are anything into lore and know how Warlords starts Garrosh escaping his trial to an alternate time/timeline then you already know the book ends, but the book is more about how everything plays out leading up to Warlords rather than a big finale.

End of the book spoilers (This is what I hope they turn into an instance).
When the infinite dragonflight helps Garrosh escape they open a rift and out come the leaders of the horde/alliance from other timelines where they choose darker paths. e.g Go'el (thrall) is confronted by a self of his that followed Blackmoore and never became the warchief/shaman, Baine fights a version of himself where he is Warchief of the horde after killing Garrosh for killing his father, Kalecgos faces a version of himself that has given into the madness (Like Malygos). While the Temple of the White Tiger is under siege by the Dragonmaw lead by Zaela.

Going into the next expansion Ill kind of explain where the characters are (Spoilers of course):

Go'el (Thrall): Still leader of the Earthen ring, has a kid, 2nd on the way (I think). Not much happened with him.

Baine: Defends Garrosh during the trial, not because he wants to but because the Voljin and Thrall agree out of everyone hes the only one that could actually attempt to defend Garrosh and actually put effort into it because of his pride as a Tauren.

Andiun: Healed up after the bell nearly crushed him to death, talks with Garrosh in his cell every day (more as a priest than as a confidant). Saves Garrosh's life by stopping him from eating poison food.

Jaina Proudmoore: Spends most of the book despising the Horde. Nearly rips Kalecgos and her apart due to her hate(they are together). In the end she kind of forgives the Horde after Voljin sends a letter to her saying something like "You gotta do what you gotta do but Im not going to hold it against you" and listening to Baine's defense of Garrosh.

Varian: Still a hot head but less of a racist ***. His part is mainly explaining he was like Garrosh but seeing how it was affecting his people/son decided that that wasnt what he wanted to be and is changing. He seems leery of the Horde but not aggressive overall towards them it seems.

Tyrande: She is the "Prosecutor" in the trial. She does a good job being cold and calculating pretty much. She manages to drag up so painful memories, and there is a general feeling in the end that she may have burned a few bridges/wnet a bit to far with some of her actions. Not sure how overarching this will be but figured i would mention it.

Slyvannas(This one is long): Her sister Vereesa contacts her to help with a plot to assassinate Garrosh before the trial ends, because she doesn't want to chance him getting life imprison. Vereesa is mad because Rhonin, Leader of the Kirin Tor and her husband, died when Garrosh bombed Theramore.

Sylvanas is probably the most alive shes been since she died and is happy about this. After they were supposed to do the deed Vereesa planned to move to Undercity and rule with her sister. Sylvanas is happy about this because she sees her sister as an equal, and not someone that follows out of fear or for personal gain. She also plans to kill Vereesa (poison) and raise her as a banshee like herself because she doesnt think the Forsaken would be happy to take orders from someone alive. But Vereesa doesn't know this and was going to bring her sons to live there with her, not something Sylvanas wants because they are kids/her nephews.

In the end the thought of her sons compels her to warn Anduin of the poison right before the verdict, as hes headed down to see Garrosh one last time before the trials end. Slyvanas is pretty pissed and takes this as a warning that she should never have anything like feelings again.

Wrathion: He has something to do with breaking Garrosh out, it's not stated how much he was in on it, or how much he planned. Him and Anduin are friends due to them being close (relatively) to the same age. He tells Anduin he's doing this for the good of all and hopes to one day share the battlefield with Anduin.

Garrosh: He's pretty subdued through most of the trial, he calls it a joke/play in the beginning. Will only speak to Anduin, never really explained exactly why, he has an interest in Anduin it seems. He mentions something comparing himself to Arthas, aka taking the pride/protection of his people to the extreme doing anything for it. In the end he says he regrets nothing and would gladly do everything again, and wipe out the Alliance.

Shokia, the sniper orc, Zaela of the Dragonmaw, Thalen Songweaver (Blood Elf that made the mana bomb that destroyed Theramore), Harrowmeiser the goblin (Hes a captured goblin in Westguard Keep (Alliance) in Howling Fjord, that you use his airship to do a bombing mission mission on the pirates, IIRC I can't find the exact quest since I've only leveled one Alliance passed Outlands.), and Kairoz(dormu) of the Bronze/Infinite Dragonflight, who's working with Wraithion somehow are going to be garroshes main supporting cast in the expansion.

August Celestials: They were the 'jury' to the trial and in the end explained they knew from the beginning they weren't going to put Garrosh to death because "The Dead can never have the chance to change, there is only a chance for the living", and they explain that the trial was for everyone, The Horde and Alliance, to learn this. Baine and Anduin were the first to understand this, and in the end all the leaders get the point in the end.

I'm not sure if they are going to show up outside Pandaria but just in case: Xuen, the Tiger, takes the form of a human. Niuzao, the Black Ox, takes the form of a Tauren. Chi-ji, the Red Crane, takes the form of a Redheaded Blood Elf. Yu'lon the Jade Serpent takes the form of a pandarian cub.

Sorry if I spoiled anything to much. If you have any questions that you might have about the book and want me to try and answer them ask and Ill try to answer if it was in the book.

Bah. I was kind of hoping something like this did and didn't happen. Like how would Thrall turn out if his parent's didn't enter the portal. Therefore he was never a slave, etc., etc.

And actually thanks for the share, I'm not munch of a reader. I could (atm) do the audio-book but meh. You seemed to have shared the jest/lore that I would have wanted to know.

No problem I figured people may have an interest but not have 14 hours to set aside to listen to the book. I tried to [pick and choose the main arcs to explain that will probably surface in the expansion. Thinking back over the book not a huge amount happened but since it was focusing on like 8~9 characters I can forgive that.
