Because I'm a guy who doesn't want to stare at male *** the whole time I'm playing the game?

If I'm gonna be looking at a character's backside for hours, it might as well be a booty I enjoy looking at (probably why I have more draenei than any other race LOL).

I don't see the character I play as me, I see it as a hero in a story. Sometimes the hero is male, sometimes female, sometimes they are an anthropomorphic cow, troll, space goat or whatever. I may like the way one model looks over another, or their animations, but I don't identify with their sexuality.

I think another reason I pick females, is that I have a thing for stronger girls. Girls who can take care of themselves, girls who you don't have to worry about, girls who can kick ***. I just have a thing for that, and many of these video games are awesome in the way they let you choose which you want to play.

None more kickass than Female Commander Shepard though. I've never had so much awesome fun with a game storyline until I played Mass Effect with a female character. lol

I prefer female characters.

It's part that I dislike most of the male models in the game (they're very odd-looking), and part same reason as Lyr: I like my women strong and independent. That said, some classes I wish I could play male. Like the Druid, for instance. My female Tauren looks badass, but I really want my Druid to be a male Night Elf. Unfortunately, the male Night Elf model looks terribad - especially when you put some of the newer armor on it. Good lord, those arms.

Since all the new character models so far were pretty good (imo) there's still hope. Smiley: wink

I have only male characters. Just like in D3. Don't know why exactly but I seldom play female characters in any game.

Who knows, maybe the character model updates will fix some of these issues.

I don't like the male human running... it seems... robotic or something.

I have a male human mage and you can't notice it as much in robes, Thank God. That, and an Arcane Mage spends most of his time in battle standing still, lol.
