Build it and they will come. [Hey, back in the day, my marketing prof swore by "sex sells".]

It looks like we are finally getting more details on Garrisons, so here's your link. You'll have to scroll down a bit for the Garrisons info, but you might find some of the other stuff interesting too.

Go ahead, click on it. I'm pretty sure I didn't forget and link to anything NSFW. Smiley: sly

I'm so confused.

[EDIT]

Garrisons are one of the things that I have mostly positive feelings for with WoD. I'd really prefer a system that wasn't refreshing each expac, and I wish the value of the materials wasn't so diminished compared to earlier versions of WoW (to make things like gardens and orchards more awesome), but it's still nice.

Personally, I would have gone for some kind of pocket dimension approach that was "anchored" to an access point (if necessary) for the expansion, to allow players to keep their garrisons and update them through expansions without losing the plot connection (if the devs care about that).

We'll have to see how it goes. Farms seem to have gone over fairly well. One post I read (sorry, don't recall the source), if I recall correctly, indicated that Garrisons are something of a test that will be continued into other zones if they're well received.

The "Trading Post" building interests me greatly.

The fantasy nerd in me LOVES that I can have an Inn. Mage Tower is a plus, too.

I really hope that you can display pets/mounts/armor/weapons in the appropriate buildings. That would be a nice touch.
