It feels odd to note we're past the halfway point for January 2014. Over here, we're hung between the first days of the solar calendar and the last days of the lunar one. There is a sense that the date has changed to 2014, but the "new" year won't arrive until the Year of the Horse. Ah, well. Let's set some goals.

WoW: I have a feeling things are going to get sidetracked by a bad case of real life. I'm shooting for 72-74 on my alternate Alliance Monk, with a few more pets leveled up.

RL: Saturday looks like Tyger time, and Sunday is dinner with students (which is going to add in a couple of hours on Beijing's subways). It should be fun, but it is going to be hectic.

Here's hoping the RNG smiles on you, or at least torments your enemies even more than you!

3 day weekend, and my birthday is Monday. So that's nice.

Though I don't really have plans. I would have gone into the city, but I'm not sure I have the energy for that (recovering from surgery on the 2nd). Or maybe I will, and I'll just splurge for a cab if I feel that tired.

Gaming:

No plans. Maybe Dragon's Dogma?

RL - Hockey Saturday night. TIme to get a new point streak started. We're playing a team that really shouldn't be in our league, though, so I'm expecting to get our asses handed to us. Oh well. I want to get started on my guitar project. I need to sand it down to prep for painting. Not sure how long it's going to take, but hopefully I can put some time into it this weekend.

WoW - I've been focusing on my leveling trio. I got them up to 81 last weekend, but during the week, I pushed the Priest to 84, and the Pally and Druid both to 83. I'm finding Cata stuff is going a lot quicker than I thought it would. Heirlooms, rested, and reduced XP requirements will do that, I guess, LOL. Anyway, I want to push the three of them up to 85 and be ready to knock on the Pandaland door.

I if feel like it, I may grind some Lion's Landing commissions on the DK. I'm half-assed working toward the Sumprush Rodent, but the idea of grinding out 2000 commissions (at 2-4 per kill) isn't really pulling me in with excitement. I'll get to it...

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

WoW: Well I'm still working on leveling Horde characters on an alt server, and I've got the hunter up to 86 so gold is finally not a problem. It was actually fun having to work the AH like a Ferengi in order to level my crafts. Rogue is up to 70 and Priest is up to 53. Those are the three I'm spending time on, the hunter and rogue were in the low 30s when I started and the Priest was 40.

I have to admit though, my brain keeps wandering back to EVE Online lately. I'm wondering when I'm going to reach critical mass and re-sub.

RL: seeing my daughter, as usual, on Saturday and Sunday; probably spending a few hours logged into the office as they've transferred a couple of accounts to me to manage; and maybe a birthday cake on Sunday.

Don't read this until Monday digg: Happy Birthday! (it's bad luck to wish someone happy birthday before the actual day)
