The first weekend of the new year is upon us! Time to roll up the sleeves and set some goals.

WoW: Grrrr! Either a change to NoScript or a change to the screen for using a time card caused me to be unable to add time, right as I'd planned to make the year end raid on gifts and other projects. At first, it seemed like bad timing, but with the year end holiday and reports of DDoS attacks in other parts of the world, I just guessed that something happened while NetEase was short staffed. I did go through and allow various sites through, but I kept getting that the service was temporarily unavailable and using an expired card as a control showed that it could recognize an expired card and displayed a different message. Today, I tried Google Chrome as an alternate browser and added money with no trouble. Grrrr!

Time to get the Mage that last 40% to ding 90. I'd also like to make some progress with the Monk and/or DK on that account.

RL: I'm staying quiet and staying inside. I have a supply of beer, as well as the necessary ingredients to keep me stocked up on fried rice and curry in various styles. Tyger has started talking about wanting to get married and is floating a date next October. She knows about my run of bad luck with this and assures me that while she respects her family she makes her own decisions.

Alright you slackers! Let's here some goals and get ready for some tales. Smiley: lol
In Chinese: glasses are yanjing; eyes are yanjing, and the beer of Beijing is Yanjing. When speaking, the difference is in the tones. Did I just order a glass of beer or a glass of eyes?

Doubt I have been missed but I return anyway.

Gaming - Started playing War Thunder (no snickering ...) its actually pretty fun and my joystick should be available for pick-up shortly, so I got that going for me at least.

RL - back from vacation hiatus, holidays were good but I got fatter ... so back to the gym and being healthier. Got some bigger projects accomplished (garage cleaning and yard maintenance) but have a few more to go (plumbing fixes and more yard maintenance). Annual work review is upon me and trying to decide whether to go with the flow or cause a ruckus when things do not go as I like. Any suggestions on a fire accelerant?

Tonight a friend comes over and we plan to watch Invictus. And maybe an action flick after that. Tomorrow two other friends will visit and we'll watch 12 Angry Men before attending a birthday party. On Sunday I either go to the gym or do some work for the university. Right now my motivation for both is just below zero.

Do some dailies, level Engineering and Blacksmithing on my Mage, farm for mounts, etc. On Sunday my guild will try and down the two HC bosses we defeat last ID, only this time without the help of 3 PUGs who all had between 5 and 10 itemlevels more than we do on average.

RL - Hockey game tonight. little as possible. I'm in the mood for a post-holiday loafing weekend. Take the dog hiking, but otherwise relax.

WoW - I'm going to be overly ambitious and make lofty WoW goals, which I probably won't reach :-) Level the 77 druid, 77 pally, and 77 priest to 80. Hit DMF to upgrade some heirlooms and get professions points.

I just started the Brawler's Guild, I may end up spending too much time on that trying to get up to level 4. My impression so far is that the fights are really not very hard, just move or die type things. Gimmicky and overly long. And, the run back from the graveyard is annoying. Anyway, I just want the pet and then I'm done with it.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
