Monday here! How did everyone do?

WoW: I stopped just short of 400 small eggs and I'm relieved to report that none of them sold for 100g/egg. Sadly, I suspect that was because of a timing error, I expected the holiday to start at midnight rather than 10 a.m. and my auctions may have ended a bit too early. Rather distressingly, I did sell enough year old gingerbread cookies (100g) and cold milk (10g) to make a bit under 700g. I still had enough time to get my Druid to 60 and the DK to 70. Overall, I'm calling it a success and chalking my evil price gauging up to Friday the 13th.

RL: The Tyger decided to make sure I can still hold up my end of a drinking bout -- yellow wine and preserved plums, with Harbin beer as a spacer. Nice time. I didn't get to take her out for dinner, but ended up having excessive amounts of Japanese food for lunch with a colleague. [Note -- by 'yellow' wine, I mean Chinese rice wine. It has more of a sherry like quality and color than sake.]

Gaming:

I don't even know, man, I don't even know. I have a huge to-play pile, but little desire to play anything. I'll try and force myself to log into TOR, because I keep paying that sub...

I really need to start addressing the stack of PS3 games...

RL:

Gonna try and see Frozen tomorrow.

I NEED to do Xmas shopping. I'm starting to get worried.

Gaming: Um, I didn't play TOR. And I didn't play much of my PS3 pile... And I bought Dark Souls for the PS3... Oops.

RL: Didn't get xmas shopping done at all, but I did see Frozen.

All in all, not my most effective weekend, lol.

Gaming - RL was so busy I played for an hour last night just to prestige, nothing was accomplished.

RL - It was a BUSY BUSY weekend. The Hobbit was awesome one friday, saturday was paintball for the step-son and 6-7 hours of clothes shopping. Sunday was family pictures and Christmas shopping. I was home long enough to sleep and watch a little TV. Good news is we are 95% done shopping, bad news is there is still more shopping to go ....

Week - should calm down and get some PS3'ing in, once shopping is done.

RL - See the Hobbit on Sunday. I want to see it, but I was somewhat disappointed by the first one, so I'm hoping this one is better. The cinematography will be good, I'm sure, I just hope Peter Jackson laid off the CGI this time around. Hockey game late on Saturday night. I'm hoping I'm awake. The game is later than my normal bedtime the last couple weeks. I'm going to have to work a power nap into my Saturday somehow, or else I'll be zonked by the time of puck drop.

WoW - I think I'm going to go for pets this weekend. I'm at about 65 out of 75 level 25s. So, that shouldn't be too hard to finish off. I'm at about 35 of 75 level 10 pets. That may be a bit trickier. I broke down today and bought some pets off the store. I was planning on buying the charity pet regardless, but the other pets were on sale for 1/2 off, so I said ***** it and pulled the trigger. After a couple weeks of minimal game time, I'm not in a huge hurry to go nutso on the leveling. So, I'm going to take it easy on that end and just let happen what happens.

RL - Power nap: check. Hockey game: win 4-3. It was a close one. We were up 2-1 then down 3-2, then managed to get the winning goal with about 2 minutes left in the game. All around fun game without any chippy BS. I got one goal, too. Yay!

Saw the Hobbit. I enjoyed it a lot. I thought it was a lot better than the first one. The CGI was toned down, so I didn't find myself distracted by it as happened several times in the first movie. Good action, good pace, good scenery. The Lord of the Rings tie-ins were better integrated in this movie, too, in my opinion. I still don't really think they need to be in there, but at least this time it worked okay. Overall, I give it a hearty thumbs up.

WoW - I managed to get the 75 25s pet achievement, but only 48 of the 75 10s achievement. I also realized it was probably a mistake to make the pet things my goal for the weekend. I thought doing pets would be relaxing and chill but, it made me realize why I got burned out on them before, which led to a several month absence. It just gets too grindy. I like the hunting them down part, but the grinding for rares, leveling, and fighting trainers over and over hoping for stones and hoping to dodge the RNG just gets frustrating and boring. So...

I spent more time on leveling toons. I enjoy that more anyway and I should have made that my weekend goal. I casually (herbing, crafting, a few pet battles) leveled my druid from 70 to 72 and my pally from 70 to 71. Oh, and I spent some time on Timeless Isle on my DK and managed to pick up some upgrades. Still not sure I'll ever raid on the DK, but farming on Timeless Isle with a group can be pretty fun.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Didn't play any WoW. Sad face. Had too many errands to run and work. But at least I was productive I guess?
