And then, it was Monday. How'd you do?

WoW: I got my old Mage to 76. I even got Pandamonium's Engineering up to that last, annoying bit before 300 and had mild success on the AH. Overall, I had fun.

RL: I think Tyger and I got a mild dose of food poisoning. She wanted to grab a quick meal at the local McDonald's and I suspect the chicken was on its second or third trip through the fryer. I had stomach pains, she ended up making herself throw up. Somehow, she managed to be incredibly sweet anyway. If you've ever had a round of mild food poisoning, you know that makes her a candidate for sainthood.

Here's hoping that your food misadventures are limited to toons getting hit with flying stuffing during the holiday event! Now, let's hear your tales.

Did not post any goals since I thought this to be a weekend without much accomplished on my part. Luckily I was wrong.

Did make some solid progress on my diploma thesis, my eternal nemesis. Also had good times with various friends on Friday and Saturday evening. Went to the gym on Sunday in an attempt to lose some of those thousands upon thousands of calories that had entered my body during the 'fun times'.
In WoW, my guild managed to get a raid together on Sunday despite us having many people missing. Lo and behold, these nice shoes dropped in their Warforged variation. After the raid I took my rogue to Black Temple and managed to get the missing part for a set of Warglaives. In conclusion, the weekend was pretty darn nice!

Game - Ghosts was played sparingly. No major plans or desires so nothing gained or lost.

RL - was a R&R type of weekend. Weather got colder and wetter, so stayed on the couch mostly watching Grimm and Dexter. Did go to the theatre and watched Thor 2 but that was it.

RL: Saturday was very productive. Sunday? Didn't get much done at all.

Gaming: Sunday was very productive (see above!). Some Civ V on Friday night and about 45 minutes of Skyrim on Saturday night.

On Sunday I actually logged into WoW for the anniversary. I've missed one or two since subscribing at the beginning of BC. I didn't log onto any of my ally toons, which are my highest level characters, but had fun doing horde quests that I've never done before. I do have to say, a level 45 hunter running around in a mish-mosh of gear from as low as level 29 on up, with no heirloom gear, and the levels are just breezing by. They really made the lower levels easy.

And I hated swimming through Thousand Needles, that was one of my go-to zones back when.

RL: I didn't get anything done on my paper, but I will be doing that today and tomorrow.

WoW: Got priest to 90 and geared her up pretty well. Some friends made me some gear and ran me through heroics. Holy crap did I feel lame though. One of my friends was out dpsing me while she was healing. Fracking disc priests.

WoW - I plan on taking advantage of the Anniversary XP boost. Maybe if I get really ambitious (or lazy about RL stuff) I'll try to push both my 60 druid and 60 pally to Northrend. Of course, I'm likely to get sidetracked and mess around with the lowbies (16 warlock, 15 hunter). We'll see. But...

RL - RL may intervene heavily this weekend. Tonight I have a late (11pm) hockey game. I'm usually up by 530 and asleep by 930-1000, so I'm likely to be pretty tired tomorrow. The biggest intervention, however, is that our fridge crapped out on us this week. Priority number one this weekend is to get a replacement. Hopefully, we can figure that out quickly and not spend too much time running all over the place looking and hemming and hawing.

I'm late posting...yesterday was busy and I just didn't have time. Anyway...

RL - Hockey went well. We won handily 6-1. I had a goal. Fun game. I was able to sleep a bit on Saturday morning, thankfully. My wife was off from Habitat for Humanity this weekend, so she was able to take care of the dog and let me sleep a little. Yay!

Refrigerator shopping was super easy. My wife had a contact from her interior design job who hooked us up with a good fridge at a great price. No hard sell; really got us what we wanted for the price we were willing to pay. So, that left more weekend time. Yay!

WoW - I made the push on the 60s. I got the pally to 68 and the druid to 64.5 (65.5 by today :-)). So, 78% success, lol. I didn't mess with other alts much at all this weekend. I was pretty focused on the pally for the most part. Pally tanking at this level is just so strong. I can pull huge groups and manage with ease. I solo'd the Ring of Blood stuff in Nagrand at level 65! There's no way that would have been possible back in the day. It was a fun weekend.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Edit: The one downside to the weekend is that it must bring out the asshats in dungeons. I had several groups where dps insisted on pulling mobs even after I asked them not to. Along with snotty, rude comments essentially saying they'd do what they wanted to. My reply in two instances was, okay good luck...drop group. I don't get it. If everyone just does their part, things go quickly, boom it's over in no time. Leveling dungeons are nothing like the tedious hours long affairs they used to be. I just don't understand some people's impatience and unwillingness to cooperate for 10-15 minutes. It's not that hard. Oh well.

RL: A friend is in from Europe, so I'm seeing her on Sunday and Monday.

I'll be switching to an iPhone this weekend from my Android, so I need to remember to deactivate any android-specific services/phone apps...

Gaming: I have absolutely no plans in this department. The ESO beta weekend starts tonight, so I might check that out. My interest in the game is pretty much gone, but you never know.

If I log into WoW, I have no clue what I'll do. I should really try and push my DK into the new zone, so I can, y'know, see if MoP keeps my attention.

RL: Was gonna switch my phone, and was nearly through the process, before Verizon reared its ugly head and a problem multiple customer service reps assured me wouldn't be a problem was, in fact, a problem.

Seeing the friend was great, though. And I read two books. So it was fairly productive.

Gaming: Played ESO for like 15 minutes and hated the controls so much I stopped. Played some WoW - mostly ran tourney dailies. Stopped playing when I realized I couldn't level past 85 (really, MoP trial? Not even 86?) That's about all.

yeah it seems everyone wants you to pull the entire zone and kill it all down in swoop. No one has any patience.I have a monk healer that is 82 and i stopped playing because they would always pull 10 mobs at a time and i couldnt keep up with the healing....

I've run across it on my healers, too. I have a 69 Holy Priest and 65 Resto Druid. I've run across several tanks, as well as dps, that are running ahead to pull mobs before the group we're on is even down. It really can be a strain on healing. Dps run into a little trouble, then the tank is out of range as he's pulling the next group.

I was hoping this would settle down a bit as I get into Wrath and higher content. But, from what you say, I may be hoping in vain :-(

Incoming get off my lawn...I hate to think how today's impatient players would have fared back in the day. CC was a must, if you pulled more than one group it meant likely death (even with a decent group), and dungeons took an hour or more. I don't necessarily miss that, but it'd be nice if some of these impatient types would just "Slooww Doowwwn", to quote the Pandaren.

I must confess, but every time a Pandaren tells me that, I just want to punch them.

p I remember fondly marking groups of mobs with square for freeze traps and moons for sheep etc etc. I think its actually worse in lower levels everyone has top gear and heirlooms I is feasible to pull and kill lots at a time but is stressful if heals and tank aren't properly prepared :)

I had people mad at me in dungeons recently for CCing, as it slowed them down....

I guess I am one of the rare few who actually enjoyed the concept and tactics involved to using crowd control. On a survival hunter back then, it was awesome being able to ice trap two mobs and wyvern sting another for some of the real nasty pulls. One of the dungeons in Zangarmash always needed great CC back in the day, forget the name of it, but it was the pack of mobs right after the Lobster type boss. You would usually get feared into the next pack...and it got ugly quickly.

You aren't the only one. I actually enjoyed the difficulty of Cata dungeons, although it made them difficult when you got grouped with morons. And when I say morons, people who you explain the mechanics to very clearly, and still don't understand them.
