Otherwise known as the Weekend Summary. Smiley: sly

Monday morning here. Let's get things rolling!

WOW: As far as meeting goals, the weekend was a failure. I let the poor Shadow Priest rest. It seemed like people were working on alts (much faster queue times) so I joined the herd and got the Druid to 89.6. I also had fun getting my Hunter one of the new spirit beasts. It was rather enjoyable that they're annoying enough that hunters were helping each other with the tame. Gads, the heal on that green one is annoying!

RL: Pink is regrouping on her businesses and taking some time off; that means extra time together. Friday night we went to her sister's place for massage and facials. Saturday was a seafood binge -- crabs and mantis shrimp. Sunday was her younger sister's birthday and after stuffing ourselves silly at a Korean BBQ place, we all went out for karaoke. Pink loves to sing (and has a nice voice for it) and it is a convenient way to get a comfortable room for a large group. With all that, I'm surprised that I was able to work in as much time on WOW as I did.

Here's hoping that your weekend went well!

Had a pretty enjoyable weekend.

WoW:

- Found a group to kill the two missing leaders for For the Alliance!, Sylvanas and Lor'Themar.
- Got the last missing achievements for this one too.
- Guild progressed further into the Throne of Thunder and after only one wipe on the first four bosses we got our first kill on Megaera. No loot for me though. Had a few tries on Ji-Kun and he seems manageable. Hopefully we will kill him tomorrow before the ID resets.
- Made a ton of gold.
- Played my little Rogue and got him near to 31.

RL:

- Went out with friends and got wasted on Thursday and Saturday. My body still doesn't feel fully recovered.
- Got picked up by a girl and went home with her. (Yay for strong women). We will most likely not meet again but I think it's safe to say we both had a good time.
- Went to the gym once in between the phases when I was to intoxicated. Want to go again in a few hours. We'll see how that goes.

I played no WoW, so did none of my goals.

Instead went an seen some family members (cousins) I don't get to see often, and stayed the night at my grandmother's (where they were staying). Had Easter. It was..Easter (aka boring).

My older cousin, his wife and I stayed up Saturday night and we played Magic: the Gathering. A game none of us had played in years. Was fun.

Fooooood comaaaaaaaa...

I had a chance to game Friday night and Saturday morning; hit 85 on my mage on Friday and headed to Pandaland. I feel pretty underpowered compared to being 84 in Deepholm, even with the full set of new gear waiting for me at 85, but I forgot how good the beginning story is for this expansion so it's still pleasant. Spent most of Saturday playing my main and just messing around; did a bunch of pet tamer battles. Managed to get my hands on a blue quality emerald proto whelp, an infinite whelpling, and a Scourged Whelp (only poor quality though). Probably going to stone the the last two. I'm not a huge dragonkin fan, but the emerald and infinite come highly recommend for trainer battles. I have no problem beating trainers right now with 3 pets, but most of the strategies I've read said with the right mix you can down them with two, so... why not? Also did some archeology for the first time since 5.2, and started getting a bunch of Mantid stuff. Great, even more grinding Smiley: lol Still have yet to set foot on the Isle of Thunder, because a slacker is I.

RL: Went to my parents' early Saturday afternoon; a 70 minute trip took 120 minutes because of traffic. Ugh. When I arrived I was immediately put to work helping to repaint the house. We managed to do the entire front side by the end of the weekend, and it looks pretty good! Spent the rest of the weekend overconsuming and reading Dune (which I picked up from a friend's house). Man, no wonder that book is called one of the best pieces of Sci-fi of all time; it's awesome.

The weekend was good, but totally ruined my healthy living for the past week. Oh well... back to it today!

Missed the friday thread due to a holiday ..

WoW - started a mage, first few levels are a real grind but want to see how it plays out. Got my DK to 73 and that is about it. Still doing my weekly Onyxia slaughters, but not much else. Did get the guild to level 4! its going to take a while doing this by myself..

RL - spent waaaaaayyy too much money on plants and plant accessories, but the yard will look good. Unfortunately between sunset and rain we did not get any plants into the ground. So I get to spend my evenings rebuilding a flower bed and tilling so we can get out plants into the ground and prospering. Bought the step-daughter a car and got that picked up a few minutes ago. Relaxed and watched Game of Thrones and the last episode of The Walking Dead, both were on the meh scale but game of thrones has just started.

Weekday plans - plants, food, and plants. Will try to keep levling the DK and Mage and once again try to get back into rep grinds.

WoW - Let the DK rest for the weekend. I just wasn't feeling it. Probably has something to do with my general dislike of Cata dungeons. Leveled my panda priest to 25, so five more levels than my goal, yay! Dungeons at low levels are just so fast for leveling. Only quested a little bit. I also worked on tailoring and enchanting. Trying to keep them on pace with level. Also, I decided to start a pally. I've been wanting a JC on this server - almost made the priest a JC, but deciced making my own gear would come in handy - so I rolled a dwarf pally. Leveled up to 10.

I guess I'm just turing into a serial leveler. Altitis is strong in this one. I haven't touched my main(s) in about a month. I reached the point where it was logging on just to do pet battles and the routine of some dailies. The dailies get old fast. The pet battles, though fun, are just not really why I play WoW. They're a mini-game gone crazy, essentially. Anywho, when I realized I just wasn't really having fun on my main(s) and I was enjoying the alt I rolled to pick up pets more, I decided to focus more on the alt...which then turned into alts, as I get the itch to be more self-sufficient on the new server.

RL - Some yardwork on Saturday. Dog got a lot of attention this weekend. He's a happy camper. Lunch with the parents on Sunday. Game of Thrones Sunday evening, yay! Nothing too exciting, but felt like a full weekend, nonetheless.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

I capped my Valor on both my Shaman and my Pally. I finished off the 6000 VP for the Prince's quest. I got some LFRs in. I cleared Firelands with some friends and the staff didn't drop again for my Druid (who I only bring in for the one fight since I'm still trying to hit exalted with the raid rep on my main). I got my Warrior through her first LFR but didn't get anything useful and ended up feeling a bit frustrated over my terrible dps on her which may be just because of her gear but still I just don't feel comfortable with Fury dps. I need to get someone to walk me through the tanking in LFR so I can do that instead. I'm just nervous about going into it blind with poor gear.

I played the heck out of my Hunter and got him up to halfway through 89. He's so easy to play that it gets a little mind numbing at times but getting out of messes is still pretty challenging. I tried attacking a Zandalari Warscout but just couldn't keep the pet up well enough to get through it so I talked a Warrior friend of mine to come help me out. Heheh I also picked up a stone-look purple Quillen pet that can only be gotten while on a particular quest in Kun'lai - yay!

Real life was really quiet this weekend. I didn't end up going out to visit family because they ended up doing Easter/birthday stuff on Saturday instead and since my boyfriend works on Saturdays, I didn't want to drive out by myself. So, that's why I got some extra wow stuff in this weekend. :)

This.
Ham, scalloped potatoes, glazed carrots, salads, rolls dripping w/butter, cheesecake...
My cholesterol levels are probably maxxed out.
It is good that I set no game goals, we totally vegged out when we weren't eating or just watching tv.
The dragons be growing in Game of Thrones. ^^

After playing Wow this weekend, dose 5.2 dailies just feel grindy to anyone else? I am having a hard time just completing them on one character that I just took my others through the old 5.1's (Witch I did enjoy) I just can't explain it but say they don't feel "fun" to me.

Yep, I agree. Dailies that I can choose to do at my own pace, or that are not required, are fine by me. Dailies that are required to get rep...blech. They just feel too grindy for me. If I'm going to grind, I'd rather do the old school grind of killing furlbogs for hours on end. I can't really say why, but that's what I prefer. Or, give me a tabard and let me run dungeons for rep.

As it is, feeling like I have to log on every day and do the same routine of dailies every day just to creep up a faction's reputation just feels like work to me. It's a big part of why I'm not playing my main(s) lately. I'd rather level alts and do something that I enjoy more.

On the plus side, the Zandalari Warscouts/Warbringers effectively let you farm for the 5.0 reputations at your own pace. Even better, the 1000 rep items they drop are BoA, so you can send them to alts if you already have the reputation at Exalted. I'll be sending my Klaxxi and GL items to my mage alt (who is 85, but can still use them to get rep).

Yeah, it does feel different doing dailies focusing on the rep rather than just doing it for the gold and valor but it seemed like the Thunder Island ones got you to exalted fairly quickly. Even better, once you get to revered you can buy the item that lets all your characters on that server earn rep at double the normal rate.

I'm a little frustrated right now because I want to do more dailies on my newly 90 Hunter but they are not easy to do when most of his gear is from questing in Kun-Lai Summet. I need upgrades but I can't get the good upgrades without Valor and rep which are easiest for me to earn from dailies which really feel like a chore to do because I'm not geared enough to sail through them smoothly. I haven't even dared to bring him to Thunder Island yet as those mobs are fairly tough and the density and respawn are pretty high. I don't like doing LFG when I'm not geared enough to do decent dps and when I don't know the dungeons at all (still haven't set foot in any of the new ones this expansion). Once I can get enough gear to get into LFR, things will be a lot easier on him but getting to that point will take a bit of work.
