Right! OK, we're well into Monday here, so I'd better get this rolling before I get distracted. Here's hoping that the RNG treated you all well.

WOW: I've been busy with alts, pet battles and other distractions, so I'm a bit behind on the raid stuff. I finally got the last gear to put my Shadow Priest and Hunter (Alliance) into LFR. I felt like I had reasonably good luck on drops, despite the horror stories one hears. We should be getting 5.2 tomorrow (which is going to make patching my game a headache), so I went ahead and upgraded what I could. All in all, it felt like a pretty successful weekend.

RL: Life imitated the World of Warcraft (Vashj'ir). Pink gave me crabs, hairy crabs and mantis shrimp! We had a late dinner Sunday, but it was worth it. She's a good cook and it was better than it might sound.

Smiley: lolHmm, you guys were lazy this weekend, at least as far as posting goals. I'd might as well derail things in hopes of baiting a few of you into posting. What are you guys eating these days? Living on baked beans and Vienna sausages? Kippered herring? Sardines and crackers?

Gaming: I played a tiny bit of TOR--got my knight to cap and moved the story along a little. But then I got pissed off that F2P accounts can't send money, even to characters on their own account, so I stopped. Played a tiny bit of LOTRO, to continue looking into if it's a game I'd want to get invested in. I'm undecided, but leaning towards no. I think a little too much of why I want to play it comes from the lore.

I bought KOTOR2 when it was on steam sale this weekend. That's high on my to-play list now. I'll probably replay the first KOTOR though.

I finally got The Witcher to work on my PC, so I'll be playing that eventually. Went through the first area. Don't love the combat, but I'm willing to give it a chance if the story is good.

Fishy sent me a DOTA2 invite, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to be spending a lot of my free time playing it. I suck so hard.

RL: I continued reading The Two Towers. Not actually that far into it, maybe 1/3 of the way. I had intended to finish it yesterday, but DOTA distracted me. Smiley: lol

RL:
Not much. Went out with two friends for lunch on Saturday and visited the gym. That was about it.

WoW:
- Finished some achievements. Am nearly done with the WotlK raid-achievements now.
- Started with the Mantid branch of Archaeology. Is it just me or does really every single one of their, uhm, patches sprawl with mobs, some of these elite? Makes them slightly annoying to work on. Normally I do Archaeology when I don't want to fight much.
- Made some gold.
- Ventured into the Throne of Thunder with my guild. We only downed the first boss (who was very easy) and then wiped multiple times on the second one (who is very hard).

Missed the goals thread do to a weeked get away, so not much WoW was played.

RL - traveled about 3 hours away to a cabin in woods (Hot Springs, Ark). No wifi or cell phone coverage so pretty much made fires, fished a little, and cooked or at least attempted to. One night the fires were not burning properly and the next day the oven would not work, so it was hit or miss on food. Saturday we went into town for shopping and horse racing, was pretty neat even if we didnt win any money.

WoW - played last night a little. 70 valor away from capping, hit revered with black prince, honored with shieldwall, and honored with the shadow pan assault. HIt level 60 on my DK i stared and did his first istance run.

Realized I am hitting the burn out phase, need 3 more pieces of gear to be all epic 476 or higher ... 2 are from valor and 1 from MSV. So dont know how much longer I can do the valor grind let alone start over for the new gear that came out ...

Weekday plans - Valor grind /sigh and level up my DK some. My wife is extremely hammered at work so will probably try to help her out some if I can.

Food - this weekend was a binge weekend: friday - fried alligator, fried catfish, clams, and shrimp. Saturday was gourmet popcorn and steaks and shrimp. Sunday was chicken fried steak (battered steak that is fried) and beef sausages. Needless to say I will be dieting the rest of the week.

I didn't post in the plans thread, because I feel guilty for not having played WoW much recently Smiley: lol

RL: Went to bed around 10 pm on Friday, because at 27 I am old and boring (also because I finished my ME2 playthrough and didn't want to start ME3 so late). Saturday was a marathon ME3 session for most of the day, interspersed with watching some TV (Big Bang Theory; finished season 3) and rewatching Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog. Also got quite Smiley: drunk. Sunday I went to church and then out to lunch with the Young Adult Group. Had a blast; I think I'm going to really enjoy this group. The church? Eh, not so much... but I guess it's not terrible. Ended up taking a nap after I got home, and then did some gaming before an early night's sleep.

WoW: Eh... did nothing. Oh wait! I did some work orders. Other than that, nothing Smiley: lol

Other games: Finished my Renegade Fem-Shep Insanity run for ME2. Had a crazy epiphany that the reason I liked ME so much is that it reminded me of FF3/FFVI; you spend the first half of the game (or ME1) meeting allies and fighting an enemy who turns out to not be the real enemy, and the second half (or ME2) building a team for a suicide mission, with different endings where some may not survive depending on your actions. I have no idea how ME3 fits into this... hey, it's not a perfect metaphor. And I mentioned I was drinking, right? Anyway, started up ME3, and I've been enjoying it. I've died a lot (playing Adept, rather than Sentinel like in ME2 or Soldier in ME1), but the gameplay of the third game is definitely the best out of the trilogy. Downloaded 3/4 of the DLC (all but Omega), and really enjoyed Leviathan. From Ashes is... meh... and I can't wait for Citadel.

Plans this week: More Mass Effect, maybe some WoW... we'll see. Potentially a trivia night with the YAG. Pretty low key Smiley: smile

As a night owl I actually chuckled out loud at that. 10pm is late Smiley: laugh

I work with a bunch of 40 - 50 year old guys and all of them are passed out on the couch by 9:30, usually alcohol is involved though. They shake their heads at me when I tell then I go to sleep at 2-3am every night and get up at 6:30 to go to work.

Been awhile since I posted in one of these threads; mom and I have been real busy with trying to get our last few characters on 90, getting tired of feeling like we need to continue doing dailies and that kinda stuff gets in the way of other stuff I'd rather be doing like LFR and such.

So I put LFR and such on hold and decided I'd get these characters on 90 and be done with it. lol.

So, my two mages are done (FINALLY!) and my Hunters are close behind; one's 89 and a half, the other 88 and a half. They are both Jewelcrafters so I'm doing Dalaran and SW/Org Cooking/Fishing Dailies + 2 Jewelcrafting quests (which still give full XP per your level) + the 3 pet battle dailies that give XP as well.

Get about 2 and a half bars per day, so my one hunter should be done by this weekend at the latest, other hunter will be done by next weekend.

The only other characters I have left are my Rogue, 2 Warriors, and 2 Paladins I believe. They are all at least 87.

I leveled a monk from 44 to 70. Which was a little too much WoW for me, so I showered and went out of the house.

WoW - leveled the DK to75, so yay! Goal met. Fished a bit around Darkmoon Island. Made about 1k gold between that and some mining in Northrend. Ran a couple LFD, man there sure are some douches in leveling dungeons. One group with a disc priest that apparently thought he was a tank and complained about speed even though I was chain pulling the whole time. Another group with a dual boxer that was pulling less than 200 dps on both toons (in a Northrend dungeon). Yeah, that took a bit longer than it should have. Oh well.

Other - Minecraft - got a decent pocket-sized chicken farm set up. And, a decent carrot farm.

RL - not much. I'm definitely old and boring...and effing poor at the moment. Splurged on Mongolian BBQ, though, that was yummy. Hockey game - win 5-3. Felt good to win a game, it's been a while.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Wife was out of town, it's been raining a lot, even for Vancouver, so I got some decent WoW time in, mainly mount hunting.

My sort of daily pilgrammage to Sethek Halls on several alts finally paid off, and the Ravenlords reins finally dropped.

Attumen, who has a horse that doesn't even fly, still resists my weekly attempts at that ridiculously low drop rate.

Then it was off to see our Northrend Viking wannabe's, but still no luck there either.

With one less dungeon to now see ever again, and the Horde having just won Wintergrasp, I set my sights on VoA, 10 man. No luck, but it was pretty easy. I'll try 25 next week.

I figured I'd try out Sartharion with 3 drakes up, on 10 man he (she?) hit the ground before the drakes even got anywhere close. 25 should be a little more fun.

I've yet to try Onyxia, and perhaps some of the achievements in there as well.
