As of 5.2, I no longer get great joy in seeing others destroyed by the Pandaren rares ability of the spinning crane kick, as it totally destroys my hunter pets as well now.

My turtle can maybe outlive one if I'm lucky, and then I just hope I can burn it down before another starts, as even with the glyph heals it just can't keep up now.

Oh well, I think I only have one panda to finish for the Glorious achievement.

Forgot my intent; Where was this change in the patch notes?

Ignore my whining, as I just spec'd to BM so intimidation, and then scatter shot on the next one, will cancel the crane kick. One more down for Glorious!

Did they change something in pet avoidance or something? I've heard talks of Demonology Warlocks having the same issue, but according to the in-game information, pets still take vastly reduced damage from AOE attacks, so what's up?

Probably a Bug or Oversight.

I noticed that Blade Flurry (mantid rares) still barely hurt pets, but yet SCK will destroy a pet in 3 seconds.

This sounds more like an oversight or bug than something intended. Why would they make pets still resistant to SOME AoEs but yet not others seeing as how these classes have no way of killing said rare without their pets?

It's currently bugged (or was anyways). There were monks doing upwards of 2mil DPS with it, so you bet your *** Blizzard is smacking it down all kinds of fast.

Seems like it was fixed last night. Not sure if it only affected players or if it affected NPCs as well though, so it might not be the cause of the OP's issue.
