RL: Well, it kinda sucks... the girl I was seeing for the past several months gave me the old "I just don't feel the same way any more..." speech yesterday. Has me, predictably, in a bit of a funk. Officially single now, but not really thrilled. Still, trying to make the best of it. Going out tonight with friends to try a new Chinese place that has some pretty good reviews. Looking into trying a church (*gasp!*) on Sunday... UU church though, so non-Christian. Should be an interesting experience.
WoW: Already ran MC, BWL, AQ40, and Nax10 this week for the pets. Tried The Battle of Mount Hyjal and failed miserably on Rage Winterchill solo. I think I might have better luck if I bring a free action potion and/or a pvp trinket. Still want to solo BT; might try the Reliquary of Souls this time since it was nerfed. That should let me hit Exalted with Ashtongue (dinged Exalted with Brood and Hydraxian earlier this week). Besides soloing old raids...
1. Would like to get Scenturdist. Still, it'll suck to run several scenarios and not get rewarded... we'll see. Definitely going to run a few though.
2. More dailies; Anglers, Klaxxi, Golden Lotus, Shieldwall. Still need to hit Revered and unlock Shado-Pan and August Celestials. I think I might get Exalted with Anglers sometime this weekend!
3. Pet battles! Want to get the "15 pets at level 10" achievement (currently at 12), and maybe get a few new 25s. I would love to beat the Darkmoon Trainer before the faire ends this month, but it seems unlikely to happen. Only have 2 25s and a 23 right now; and only one of them is strong versus one of his pets. Grumble grumble. Maybe I'll work on more Northrend trainers, though I know Major Payne is going to be a Major Headache too.

WoW - Well I raged pretty hard this last Sunday. I was dinking around on my 86 mage and I found Cournith Waterstrider ( a jinyu). Wiped on him once at 20%. Healed up and went at him again, managing to kill him with my Frost Bomb spell right before his rain dance hit me and killing me. As I sat there with a smug look on my face I see a tauren ride up from the distance and loot the rare. I went to check my achievements and I didn't get credit for killing it. Oh I was mad. I opened a ticket and calmly explained my situation to a GM. I got a generic reply stating to report any players I have a problem with. Each reply got a bit more heated on my end when each response from a GM not only failed to show an interest in my problem but failed to even address it. By Tuesday evening I was at a boiling point and cussed the hell out of Blizzard through a reply of my original ticket. I got a response that they are unable to do anything but if I go to the bug forum I can let them know, aka generic response.
TL;DR - No more WoW for me.
RL - Started playing games that I have yet to beat. Finished FF1 last night and now I am working on Legend of Dragoon. Seems easier than I remember, also I am finding the combat disturbingly enjoyable, a bit slow though to go from battle to battle.

RL: I have a nagging stack of things that I feel like I should do; however, they aren't pressing and I'm just not in the mood. Pink is swamped with her shops, but is sticking to our plan to get together a bit on Sunday.

I'm tempted to have a "Retro weekend" myself (as said, already did the raids I wanted to do to try and get a pet... no luck). That Omnibus thread has me thinking about the 5 console games I still have left...
Edit: FF1 was the same in Japan and the US, right? 4 Light Warriors, Orbs of Light, Garland, Chaos? I remember when I finally beat it... I had gotten to the end boss after slogging through an incredibly long and difficult dungeon (with no save points and only the crappy original potions... oh, NES games). Then Chaos RUBed half of my team out of existence in the first round, leading to my inevitable wipe. I then went back and leveled in the... water? dungeon until I was some ridiculously high level (which in those days was like 35, I think). Fought my way back to Chaos... bam. Killed him with attacks from only two of my characters (A Knight and a Grand Master, IIRC). Was totally anti-climatic

Hmm, pet battles or leveling...
I think I decided to switch from bear tank to holy pally this expansion. I'm just not feeling the tanking thing this time around. I've already leveled my druid to 90, but I just don't feel like LFRing as a tank. So, I started leveling up my pally, which has always been my primary alt (/raise eyebrow) dating back to BC times. I've always enjoyed healing; I just kind of took a break from it when the massive overhaul of pallies happened. Well, I'm leveling primarily in dungeons, so I'm getting more and more comfortable all the time. I still intend to keep my druid as my "main", but raid with the pally.
I was nearing the cap on my rested XP the other night, so I started pet battling on my druid to build up more blue on the pally. Damn, pet battles are addictive. It's all I've done in-game the last couple sessions.
Anyway...goals: I think I'll split time between pet battles with my druid and dungeons on the pally. I've got two pets close to 25 that I want to get capped. I'd also like to push my pet total to 300. I'm at 266 now, so it should be in reach with a little focus and travel. Pally leveling...I'm at 87.5 now. I want to get at least to 88.5, maybe even 89. Depends on time. RL, I'm going to a bachelor party Saturday night, so that might not leave enough time for WoW goals.

Pretty much. Story wasn't something that was super interesting in FF1. It was the saving grace for Square though.
Bedroom computer died last night, took it to the shop while on break today and I discovered that it really was the PSU like I thought it was.
It was ~4 years old so that is understandable.
When we hooked another PSU up to it, the computer POST'd as normal, though that isn't enough to actually test things like RAM and video card RAM, but since the HDD appears to be fully intact, it is probably doubtful that anything else was damaged.
Hopefully not, anyways.
If only the P4 connector on that PSU at the shop wasn't too short, I would have just bought that, but noooo. So I ordered one from Newegg and a P4 extension cable in case this ever happens again; probably get it Tues. or Weds. Blah.
At least I still have my gaming computer to play WoW on...
And for that matter, WoW....
Probably just do some dailies, might work on my Horde scribe, I want to get her on 90 as she's got 40 or 41 scrolls of wisdom out of the 60 needed to make the 3 Lv90 staves eventually. I want to get her on 90 so she can start building up Spirits of Harmony from the Tillers. Otherwise, meh, dunno what I'll do.

It took you TWO attacks to kill Chaos?
A Grand master usually kills him in one shot, haha.
Chaos isn't really supposed to be the challenge... getting TO him, however, is. For your average non-crazy solo white mage player, that dungeon is a long and arduous trek.
I always did it with two knights, a GM and a white wizard. I kept the Heal Helm, and both healing staves found in the game and I spammed those like crazy. Any time I had a battle with a weak monster, I killed everything except the weak monster and told three people to use their healing item and the 4th person to use something that has no effect and let the weak monster hit my Knights for 1 damage until I was fully healed (the heal staff/helm heals 15-20HP to everybody in the group each time you use it and it has infinite uses).
Going to work on dailies and farming cooking mats, run some dungeons with my brother, work on my S/Priest. I was thinking I needed to work on leveling my mage, he's at 86 and I've just been herbing with him and working on Inscrip. I just can't seem to work up any enthusiasm at this point. Maybe I should work on my pet battles (which I've been neglecting) for a change of pace.
RL...everybody at work is sick. Colds, pneumonia for one lady, and the office manager thinks he has shingles. I tried to stay away as much as I could, worked from home more than usual this week. But I'm sure I'll catch something in time for the holidays.

Ahh, true. Come to think of it, that's how half of my Chaos battles went. Knight would go first, do 400 some... then the GM overkills it with a 2200 (he only has 2000) or some-such.
That is, assuming Chaos didn't decide to be a jerk, go first, and use Quake and kill my GM... then that's probably a wipe, especially if he decides to also kill one of the Knights too.
And of course, a lot of cursing because there are no save points unless you're using an emulator (I did this back in the day on a NES console).
