I seem to be experiencing a problem with wowhead.com. Whenever I look up an item, I get no information about it. I'm not getting anything like "this item does not exist"

This: http://i.imgur.com/eNXa6.png is what I'm getting. It's just blank. What's happening?

Could be a cache issue, though I'll admit I have no idea what I'm talking about. Try flushing and refreshing the cache by pressing Ctrl-F5.

Also, you may want to go here for help.

I have the same issue as OP.

When I visit the main page: www.wowhead.com I get a semi working version, it shows pictures and html but seems to lack functionality.

Basically I can't search or find anything.

It works when I'm home but not at work. There are no restrictions in our firewall or anything.

I have tried three different browsers, reinstalled java, also it's the same issue for my colleague.

Any help is appreciated,

Ty

Shush, it is a real problem (it even happened to me), so of course it is safe to click on links to gold farming guides and our favorite website cannotlinkto. Right? Smiley: sly

They mentioned this in an AMA they did on reddit the other day. It's a bug in the Wowhead system, they're aware of it and are working on a fix. In the meantime, it will go away on its own. Just check back about 20 minutes or so later.

To quote the usual line, I can't reproduce that on this end. It goes white and won't load css for days at a time, not a matter of minutes. The last time it happened to me, it didn't go away for well over a week.

This time it was happening on both my home and work computer, the two use different OS versions, different anti-virus and as far as I know have different service providers. It happened on all the browsers I tried, including IE with a basic install. It was happening on both Wowhead and Alla. Something is seriously bollixed, about the only thing I forgot to try was switching to Linux.

I have exactly the same problem for a couple of days now - I'm not sure what is not loading, the page is there, but it's empty except for the title and adds. Some links are there but are leading nowhere (#). I would venture to speculate that database content is simply not available.

The problem did go away a couple of times, but it was literally for just one page at a time. It happens identically across browsers - I've tried Safari, Firefox and IE.
Updated Java.
Flushed DNS.
Browser reset.
Cleared Cache.
Nothing helps.
All other pages and portals and whatnot are loading normally and internet works as intended...

Moreover, it seems it was getting progressivelly worse over a couple of days - first I would get it and reload and it would go away, and gradually it became more malign, and as of now I'm unable to open anything, not even my profile.

=(
