Apparently 5.1 is about to hit PTR, too soon maybe?

Pandaria and the War of Conquest

Pet Battles Improvements

Several UI and other improvements will be added to the Pet Battles system, including a way to upgrade the rarity of pets that you’ve captured.
Item Upgrades

You will be able to spend Valor Points to improve the item level and quality of gear you already own.
The Quest Continues

Wrathion is keenly interested in the conflict exploding between the factions on Pandaria’s southern shore. He’s sure to have additional tasks for players to complete as they continue their quest for Legendary gear.
Keep in mind this is only a taste of what’s to come, and that there’s even more in store. Stay tuned for additional details as we prepare to release Patch 5.1 for testing!

I see what Blizzard is doing now, burying us under so much content that when there's a content gap we can play catch up. Otherwise faster updates are a good thing, maybe they've decided to break up patches odd patches are non dungeon story, even patches are dungeons/raids etc?

To the point, I'm happy they are still working on the VP to increase ilvl, I was wondering where that idea was, as I hadn't seen anything mentioning being dropped (ala dance studio that my Wrath box still says on the back). And you can see by the way gear had rep requirements (that they hotfixed out) that the using VP to raise ilvl of gear was the original plan. Like if you look at Golden lotus, I think i saw a post saying it takes 26? days of dailies to get to exalted, and thats mentioning that you can't even access Shado-pan/August Celestials until revered with them. Most of those Factions are the ones that have the epic rep gear.

So if you could upgrade ilvl to match most of it til you cold grind rep to get the next tier it would make sense, without that in place, not so much.

Solo PVE Battlerings not sure about, My rogue while having tons of Defensive CD's (Btw hate you Bliz for that) seems extremely squishy, while my 85 Warrior in vendor greens can pull 4-6 mobs and just aoe em down and be full health or a lil below.

Pet Battle things, upgrades will be nice for crafters I made Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling and when trying to sell them, had questions on its stats (I used one myself to check em) and had a few people say its weak compared to rare caught pets, which makes sense.

I know they're trying to progress the game, however, the game is less than a month old and content is still very new.

I know, right?

I don't have a single Level 90 character yet partly due to work and partly due to overcrowding issues, and partly due to me wanting our newest characters ready for DMF (that means Lv20 + Arch 75).

And 5.1 PTR is coming "Soon" with MORE dailies to do?

I've heard the first batch (Shado-Pan and August Celestials especially) take at least a couple weeks to finish (and that's if you do them every day, with some people reporting that a full round of dailies takes ~1 hour).

And 5.1 is hitting PTR "Soon"? WTF!

Yeah, okay, Dragon Soul lasted far, far too long.

But dang, don't pump out crap faster than we can clear it, either!

Dailies are ... Brutal? In terms of time-consumption. I'm doing Golden Lotus, Klaxxi, Serpent Cloud and Anglers and all combined take 90 minutes+. Thankfully as a tank I've been able to run HCs almost non-stop since I dinged, meaning I'm now BiS so I can skip those, but even then I'm leaving Tillers out and I can't go back finish some stuff I wanted to do.

Still ....

5.1 ... Sure! I'm all for more content, always have been always will be. It's all about raid consumption in the end. Some guild, mine included, cleared normal mode this week, so it's all about how fast they clear HC before more content is needed for them.

Problem is, many guilds clear Normal Mode barely so and then they go "Heroic? Pfft, don't feel like it".

Now I can't say I really blame them, but to be honest... I don't want Normal Raid Guilds to set the pace that everybody has to keep up with or get left in the dust. That's what happened to me in Cataclysm because I didn't have a guild and PUG Heroics were a freaking nightmare due to how stinking hard they were at first.

Now, with MoP... it isn't stinking hard Heroics, it is the fact that the normal raid guilds are yammering that they have to spend a few weeks farming a raid tier before the next comes out and I'll soon be swamped trying to get the current dailies PLUS the 5.1 dailies done... and likely end up burning out.
