For those who may have missed it, there appears to be a date for MoP.

Me, in the 5.0.4 thread wrote:

So, by this estimate, looks like 5.0.4 will hit Live about Aug 14, 21, or 28th and the Expansion will go Live either Sept 11th, 18th, or if we're really unlucky, 25th.

Meh, looks like we're "really unlucky".

Oh well, its better than not knowing at all. Hopefully the 5.0.4 patch comes earlier rather than later to at least give us something to do in the meantime.

Nice one. Two months to farm Anzu and some other mounts/pets sounds about right. But I'd be gutted if I was raiding at the moment to be honest. How long has it been this time? 12 months without any new raid? Way too long.

In addition to the English version, Mists of Pandaria will be fully localized into Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, European Spanish, Russian, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and for the first time with a World of Warcraft expansion launch, Italian. Availability of Mists of Pandaria in mainland China will be announced at a later date.

Sigh. Here we go again. Well, it was nice being current for a few months. Have fun storming the castle.

I figured it would be a week earlier so that they don't have to postpone the start of Brewfest, but I guess they know better when the internal temperature of MoP has hit 130 degrees and it's medium-rare enough to release.

On the bright side, maybe some of our raiders will start drifting back now that we know how much time we have to get our affairs in order.

Heh got the raven mount yesterday after 76 kills. Just keep on it and it will drop eventually.
4.3 hit November 29th, 2011 so it will be about 10 months with DS as the current raid.

I got my Raven Lord after 9 kills. Smiley: grin

Nowadays everyone can get it, though. This was back when only Druids, or people with Druid friends, could farm it. Smiley: frown

I got my chicken from Magister's Terrace on my first try. Some of my guildies were farming it for weeks, and invited me to go when their third didn't show one night. So yea, it drops and I won. In penance, I ran MT with them for a long time, but it did not drop again. Smiley: lol

Edit: Grammar and spelling suck. Also...I kinda figured MoP would be Sept or Oct. My guildies should start drifting back now too. /thumbs up

Yeah, I got my white chicken on the first try too, but I solo'd it at 85. Then the second time I got the pet. Smiley: grin

Good to have a release date, but I still don't know whether or not I intend on getting MoP. I still don't have much desire to either play the game or the beta.

/10 months with no new raid content, they need to chain the developers to their cubicles and give them only Mountain Dew code red to drink, like Trion does with the Rift developers. IMO.

10 months? Yikes. I'd experienced enough of Dragon Soul when I left back in January. Can't believe they're still running that.

Not sure if it's worse than when they gave us the two troll heroics for six months.

That is a long drought when it comes to PvE content. It will be interesting to see how end game content stacks up against Cata at release. It will also be interesting to see if they can meet the Cata promise of reduced development cycles for content patches.

It felt that Cata released so unpolished and with zero balance and they had to devote the first 3 months of live to daily/weekly fixes that it ate up too much of their time and that is why they completely scrapped the promised Vashj'ir storyline.

They claim the Abyssal Maw was scrapped because they couldn't find anywhere to fit it in with the progression, or ********* like that.

Though I question that -- there was this huge dry spell between the original raids and Firelands, with only the Troll Heroics in-between.

Original Raids yielded 359; the troll Heroics 353, and the Firelands Raids giving 378.

They stuck some 365 craftables, but it seems to me that there's a 19-level gap between 359 and 378... you'd have thought that there should have been 369 or something, and that's what Abyssal Maw should have yielded.

Indeed.

In fact, it would have made huge sense.

You defeated Deathwing's mate in that raid I can never remember the name of... then you defeat the leader of the Air Elements that were in league with Deathwing in Tot4W, and you know Ragnaros is about to rear his ugly head.

But you need allies, right?

Going in and helping Neptulon with his Ozmat problem would have made perfect sense -- with Neptulon aided, and the Naga/Ozmat defeated, Neptulon could have given you aid to go after Ragnaros and his minions, who could be a better ally against the Lord of Fire than the Lord of Water?

But nooooo they skipped poor Neptulon altogether.

I fully expect the pandas release to be the same force beta as the Cata release.

You know, I'm still not entirely certain. Went with my friend to get her flight form questline done, then afterwards, we all went with her to the Cenarion camp in Zangarmarsh(at least I think that's where we went) to turn it in and see the new flight. I went and talked to the NPC she was talking to, then I had it. I thought everyone was supposed to get one. Took me a couple days to realize that I was quite possibly the only mage who could summon Anzu.

So, I'm gonna go with "Some kind of strange bug".
