Hi Zam forums, my name is Lou and I'm attempting to get my newly formed Youtube channel off the ground. We're currently covering the MOP beta pet battles system and would love your feedback on what we've done so far. Thanks. :3

Hi Lou. I'm Poldaran and I feel that you should probably know that many of us here really dislike it when people come here simply to get their newly formed Youtube channels off the ground, especially when they make no attempts to become part of our community.

This is getting way too nerdy for me.

I just have a hard time watching other people talk about playing video games. Well, that and I can't really listen to stuff at work, so if the video doesn't hold it's own with no volume it's gonna be wasted on me. Smiley: frown

Sorry for the spammy nature of this post. I selected a few forums I'd like to promote our work on last night and communities I'd like to participate in, as no one has the time to x-post and build a reputation on every medium possible. I wasn't trying to spam out any forum, I was just trying to see who would be the most welcoming to a bit of self promotion.

Actually kind of curious; did you find any that were welcoming?

Communities like the Minecraft forums are open to posts on mostly anything without much hate. The forums I frequent every so often were pretty nice about my spammage. Posts like this one... A bit of hate comes with the territory, but hey - It can make for a conversation starter? D:

I really love making videos and I want to get them seen, so I don't mind taking some flak.

That's only natural. A forum regular(or even semi-regular) who posts an outside project will be seen as trying to share something cool s/he worked on with the people s/he hangs out with. In some communities(ours is no different, if perhaps more civil than some), a new person who posts something s/he worked on is just an advertiser. Here in particular, many of us really dislike advertisers. Especially after how many people have come to this board simply to get input on their surveys or to views for their Youtube channels.

You seem to be alright, so stick around and join in on any discussions you find interesting. Heck maybe start a few of your own. We'd be glad to pick up another regular.

Unless you are just going to stick around long enough to tempt us with game time cards then buggar off when it is time to pay up. Smiley: glare

You believed a survey monkey? My friend, I have a genuine deed to Thandol Span that I'd be willing to sell you for a very good price and I'll throw in an exclusive Haute Club membership card!
