You know, even if someone loaned you 8.1 million, you'd still only have about 1/1000th of the money you need. Smiley: tongue

This has been a bit of a topic over in the D3 thread in General Games. One guy suggests the sale is due to D3. Most people seem to think he's silly.

I try to stomach the D3 o-boards too. It's like a car crash, I just have to look. It's a lot worse then the WoW boards.

Add me if you like. PQC3#1212. Not really playing on the Americas though.

Oh you're right, it was 8.1 billion wasn't it.. I'll change that.

Activision, maker of the “World of Warcraft” and “Call of Duty” titles

Call of Duty was made by Infinity Ward and Treyarch. World of Warcraft was made by Blizzard. Activision publish stuff, they don't make it.

Love it when journalists have weak google-fu skills.

Mostly because the suggestion has no evidence. It takes as given that D3 was a failure, which as far as I know isn't supported by reality.

As D3 goes, particularly the real world cash auction house, I've no idea if it's been a "success". Tho i surely wouldnt call it a failure.

Nine year low stockprice? /shrug

As a customer of theirs, i can't explain that since they've been putting out the product, getting their subs, and been offering a variety of merchandise (digital and otherwise). They're workin on a new IP which should help.

My sarcasm would suggest "some moron at Blizz is ruining a good thing". /shrug

not to mention that the 8.1 billion only gets you 60% of the company, if I am reading it right.

After Vivendi shut down the Space Quest 7 project and delayed the Kings Quest 9 project for years I don't really care what happens to them.
