Smiley: slyHmmm... Saturday morning here and no goals yet. Hopefully, our regular host has gotten over whatever plague laid him low last week and is now off at the beach, cavorting with nubile young women.

Cavorting, definitely! Probably the sort that involves large jugs ... of Wesson Oil.

WOW: Yay! Midsummer Fire Festival! Time to grab levels for various alts so that I'm ready for MoP.

I exceeded my goal and got my Warrior from 36 to 60. Now that he has a flying mount, things are going well despite Outland. I'm on summer schedule, so I have Tuesday and Thursday off.

RL: Less yay. The "Three Illegals" campaign in Beijing is even less pleasant than what you may have read in the news lately. This weekend is the Dragon Boat Festival, but I think I'll be staying home and off the streets. Oh, well. Yay, for Fire Festival?

Dragon Boat Festival was quiet. Although it is one of the traditional holidays, it is more popular in the South.

The pre expansion summer doldrums are here! Let's get some goals and hear some stories!

Grab that alt that you've had on the back burner and use the holiday to try to shake it of its rut! Level that class that you've never been able to get into! Let there be tales! And our usual host owes us a detailed account of his depraved adventures.Smiley: lol

Debating on which character I am going to play on. Can't quite make up my mind.

After jumping around various characters I ended up settling on my hunter till MoP comes out. I then proceeded to solo kara, MC, BWL, and AQ40 up to twins. Kara and MC are a joke (chess can suck a rock though Smiley: glare). BWL was fun trying to get past Razorgore. From what I can tell only a hunter can solo it if you are not a druid, dk or paladin.

Essentially you have to kill Grethok's two guards and then have him and Razorgore get aggro on eachother. Then get on a narrow edge, get Razorgore's aggro then disengage onto the balcony. Wait until Grethok resets and jump down. You will know if you did it right if the gate you came in is up, if not repeat. Then it's simply kill Grethok and start destroying eggs. Make sure to stop your channeling before the debuff fades or adds will spawn and you will die. The only hard part is making sure to get on the balcony. :P I did have a friend ask to join after I killed the Broodlord so unsure how difficult controlling the adds for Nefarian would be.

The Prophet Skeram in AQ40 was interesting also. I had to have my pet by the back door and have it do most of the killing. I would only get up to pop a mend pet, which I would wait till my feign death also came off cooldown. It should also be noted that I made sure to stay out of LoS of the boss when I did this. Not sure if the MC ignores LoS but I really didn't want to take the chance. Made it all the way to the Twin Emperors before I had to stop. Surv won't work on them. :P

I missed the goals thread (again), but I'll summarize what happened over the weekend...

I worked a lot this weekend; it was my normal Sat Night - Sun Morning routine, so I myself didn't get a lot done.

Mom on the other hand, she's been on fire though I'm afraid she'll burn out (lol) on Midsummer Bonfires.

Yesterday alone, she managed to put on some 4.7 million XP on the guild (with a little help from me who did my usual dailies).

We also managed to, during this past week, get all of our characters on 80+ -- her priest was 78, now about to ding 81, both of my warriors are 80+, and her warlock, we made a big push late last week to get her from 76 to 80.

We anticipate that we should have at least 2 more 85s before August's DMF. My mage is 83; she's likely to get 85 next, and I've got a warrior pretty close to dinging 83 as well. That just leaves my almost 82 warrior.

Friday wine & snacks tonight. No plans for the weekend, maybe a movie and/or a walk, depending on weather.
Friday as written, Saturday walk and Starbucks and reading. Sunday walk and Starbucks and reading, and just a little yard work. Nice!

WoW:
Still working on individual cooking, fishing, questing, archaeology achievements for various 81+ characters. Only had about 2 hours last weekend to get into WoW. My 84 warlock or 84 shadow priest are just a few bars away from 85, hopefully Fire Festival or other questing will get one of them there.
Got my 84 warlock to 85 and a few more bars on 84 shadow priest, doing just Fire Festival quests and some archaeology. The warlock needs to get busy crafting Vicious Fireweave/Embersilk for both of them.

I had $7 left on Sunday morning. So, I spent the day doing Midsummer stuff, and cursing whoever at Blizzard came up with the 40 torches in 15 sec thing.
