I won't miss the juvenile insults or the ongoing feuds, but I do wonder who is going to fill in for RAW on actually posting threads about World of Warcraft rather than just +1-ing. As lame as many of his threads tended to be, I don't see much else in the past few pages except surveys, youtubers and a smattering of questions so besmeared with nubcake that one has to suspect they were trolling (e.g. Homework).

Hopefully this will change when 5.0 hits and there are things ingame that aren't discussed to death a dozen times already.

I don't know. On the one hand I agree Rhodekylle that he sometimes comes up with a question or such that seems decent and is worded ok. On the other hand he will quickly resort to being childish and calling people punks and trolls the next day.

While I don't expect him to stay gone I do hope, if he comes back, that he figures out which type of person he wants to be and stick with it. I don't care if he is helpful or a prick but at least pick one and stick with it. Smiley: oyvey

I think he needs to take an anger management course or something, and then he'd be fine. We all react negatively to him a lot of the times, because he acts like a ****. Then when we react negatively, he acts like a **** more which just furthers the cycle. If he'd develop the skill of not being a ****, I think most people here wouldn't be ***** back. I know I wouldn't.

Vicious Circles are Vicious Circles.

Someone has to break the circle.

And yeah, I Have seen some things posted by him that are decent reads, he just seems a bit quick to shoot from the hip without thinking. That's the part he could use work on.

Or simply don't take the bait. In a nutshell, he bothers you (not Pigtails specifically) because you let him bother you. If everyone would just ignore his little diatribes he wouldn't have anything to use. But this is the internet, everyone has to take offense at any little jab taken and fire right back. Be different, take the high road. It really isn't a sign of weakness.

He probably sits back and thinks "Hook, line and sinker" after every response. He's admitted that he trolls. Why give him that satisfaction? They're just words on a computer screen, they can't hurt you. Unless you let them. I'm sure you all can justify to yourselves the reason for answering him. I really don't see the need.

If he really gets under your skin the best thing to do is:
1. Mouse over his name.
2. Click "Ignore"
3. ?????
4. Profit!
In the meantime, I'll sit back and watch. Smiley: popcorn

Meybe... Smiley: sly I'm better today though, 'cause I got some last night. Smiley: grin

*cough* Anyways... yeah, putting him on ignore helped a lot. Now I can choose whether or not to read his posts. If I know I'm in a bad mood and likely to succumb to taunting easily, I don't read them. It doesn't bother me nearly as much anymore.

The problem with that is, people quote him.
I don't have him on ignore, but I pretty much have relegated him to the F category... as in, [Fail, read for the lulz].

RAW is/was one of those people who makes you want to punch them in the face even when you agree with them.

As for Rhode's concerns, not playing right now makes it hard to post on anything WoW related. The Mrs. still plays, but her exploits as of late are mostly stuff like farming Anzu, and messing around with a low level lock. Nothing occurring that would really generate a thread.

Unless we want to whine about how overpowered heirlooms are at low-level PvP again?

The forums of Allakhazam.com died a long time ago. While disliked, RAWDEAL was an active member, which is in decline here. I troll the forums once or twice a month, just to see what is the highlight of discussion here. But as stated, you only see survey posts and the weekend goals/summary. I guess I see the decline of forum activity, outside of gaming companies owned forums, being replaced with new forms of social media. O-boards remain popular because that % of that game's population treat it as a online complaint department, and feel that is where they will be heard by the game developers for the changes they desire.

The Zam WoW Forum will always have more traffic at the start of an expansion when there's actually stuff to discuss, then later on in the timeline of an expansion it quiets down, due to lack of things to talk about.
Unless of course if you want to talk about farming herbs or something.

Actually, during previous waits we had feedback from people doing the beta. This time they aren't posting, although at least a few of the old members got in on beta.

ZAM has been less than supportive of the forums since we were told the site was being neutered so that they could focus on Wowhead.
