Going to level your 20th hunter to 85? Get your fishing level to the maximum for every character?

I have no particular resolutions for WOW. Continue to play, try to meet new people in the game but that's about it for me. Any of you have any goals? To be honest I think of all the stuff I'm anticipating this year, Diablo 3 is probably right up there at the top.

I'm going to try to make myself level some form of caster instead of my usual physical (usually melee) DPS. I have a start on a shadow priest (36), but may end up going with warlock instead because I got one up to a bit above 40 in Vanilla and wonder how they are now.

After a rather insanely late night last night trying to finish up what was possible for the world event on 7 characters... I got the last batch of mistletoe at 3 am server.... there are I think 4 of them that didn't finish it because they are too low level to get the "save Metzen" quest so they also missed the /frosty shake...

As I type all that... yeah I need to think about my drive to complete everything, there's only so many times you can do something before it feels like a boring chore instead of something fun. I DID get my first exposure to the Faire though, anyone know if the profession +5 skill quests are once a month or are a one time thing? They showed as blue ! which usually means repeatable.

On another side note I finally realized I was capped in ... some sort of points so went to the vendor and was able to get 3 big upgrades... well 2 of them from the vendor taking me down from cap, and one was on the AH for what I felt was a reasonable rate of exchange vs the time it takes to get those points :P Moved from 312, 316 318 ish items to 378 across the board for those 3 slots.

2012 I'll be making a point of getting into dungeons again, haven't been having as much fun with wow since the guild changed leadership and basically everyone was booted, "we" stuck together and mass joined another guild but my online time doesn't line up with the others anymore it seems and they all want to run heroics if they do get on.

They are repeatable, but only "once per faire week". You can use them to bump you through a choke point (I did that with the last five points of LW) but you can't really power level with them.

I'm too old a puppy to still do the resolution thing. After civil rights in the '60s. Vietnam in the '70s, disco in the '80s, and anything to do with politics or all of the above, I quit expecting improvement a long time ago. My only goal, not resolution, is to finish 2012 no worse off than when I finished 2011.

Game wise, this online stuff is still pretty novel. I still love the exploring and problem solving, even if the fights do seem to changed but little. I want to eventually try some others, most like LOTRO and World of tanks but no hurry.

Finish the BC rep grinds on my Shadowpriest.
Finish most of the Wrath rep grinds on him too.
When I'm done with that I might already have 40x exalted. If 1 or 2 miss then do some vanilla stuff that helps me complete this.

Other than that nothing major comes to mind. Keep raiding till at least D3 + FF13-2 are out. If I can manage it timewise even after that.

I don't really have a "resolution" either, since people seldom keep those. My goals however, are to get myself to a point with my new meds (just got diagnosed with ADHD last week) and therapy so that I can be successful in school, to finish the incomplete I have from last year, get to a weight that I feel healthy at, be more active, and get a job here in Brookings so that I can get myself back up to Eugene ASAP.

Lose at least twenty pounds, combined with my other resolution to go on a hike at least one weekend a month. I could stand to lose more but I prefer meeting my goals and extending them to continually falling short. And Portland has so many beautiful wilderness areas nearby

I have more of a goal than a resolution which is to save enough to be able to buy my first house and hopefully a new car sometime also.

I'd also like to get back into playing WoW. I haven't played since June or July. But I recently bought a PS3 and have like 4-5 RPG's to keep me busy in the mean time.

I want to actually kill the final storyline boss of an expansion before the next expansion comes out.

lol.

Whether or not I actually kill Deathwing before MoP? Who knows.

I hope so.

I've heard the scenery and the fights are epic, even if a bit easy compared to past raids, esp the LFR version.

I don't mind; I'm not here for the challenge. I want a small helping of it, but I'm more for seeing the sights and the fights and getting some modest gear for my characters.

Reading of (and envying) those of you from Oregon, I find it amusing that these often futile resolutions come at a time of year when their successful completion becomes most problematical. For most of us, at least in the US, the green is now brown or (if even less fortunate), white. If walking's your thing, the choice comes down to a treadmill, a boring mall, or risking your life on icy sidewalks. Its dark when you get up and dark when you get home, your pets don't understand why they can't spend the day outdoors, and television, simplistic, insipid and intellectually insulting at the best of times is overrun with politicians' lies and "celebrities" boring and self-congratulatory 'awards' programs.

But at least the holidays are over.

At least WE have WOW. Pardon me, I need to go kill something - lots of somethings.

Oregon is definitely a beautiful state. Well, the Western half of it is anyways. The Eastern half looks pretty similar to Nevada or Utah. The rain gets a bit depressing though.

It's not even that it rains THAT often, but when it doesn't clouds still like to hang around and when it does it's that weak drizzle that doesn't have any emotion to it. Give me a good thunderstorm, I used to fall asleep to those back in NM.

Oh in my hometown on the southern coast it rains pretty frequently. We get an average of 77 inches of rain a year, with the majority occurring from Nov. - March. In Eugene, it isn't nearly as bad but the seasons are a lot more extreme.

Level my 5 man team to 85 (currently 66 and out of game time) and level my rogue and DK so that I can get the class achievement for my guild.

Get the Violet Proto-Drake for my mount collector. Got the Winterveil achievements this time around, so I just have to force myself to PvP during Children's week and I'm there. Would be nice to get some more mounts for her from other places, but it's not a priority for me.

More pets for my pet collector, really need to plan which ones to aim for though.

For real life, I want to drop 1.5 dress sizes, currently between 16 and 18, so dropping to a 16 doesn't seem like much of a challenge but it's been many years since I've been a 14 so that seems a bit out of reach at the moment.

Not sure about WoW. I've just been trying to gear up all toons at least to the new heroics along with starting to level up new horde toons on Ysera since Fenris is filled with my alliance ones.

As for real life, I'll be VERY busy this year with planning. I just recently got engaged, so it's going to be hectic!

That's my resolution.

What are you saying? Liquid Sunshine is win. Smiley: nod

I don't know how it was on that south coast, but we just had a pretty dry Dec up north here.

Congratulations, NocturnalSun!

For at least 10 years (and probably more), my philosophy has always been to only have one New Year's Resolution, and to make it one that is meaningful. I'd say my success rate is about 50%, which I think is much better than the average, although not as high as I'd like it to be.

This year, I'm going to be doing a lot of stuff that will cause worry and stress: I'm student teaching, and after that I have to look for and apply for jobs. The student teaching will be fun if I don't stress too much about how I'm doing (a big problem of mine), but applying for jobs, in my opinion, is NEVER fun. Then, if I'm lucky, I'll GET a job, but it will be my first year, which is also known for being really stressful.

Therefore, this year's New Year's Resolution is: Have fun!

I expect lots of WoW in the coming months :) (but only after other responsibilities are taken care of).

Thanks Ves! And I agree, applying for a job isn't all that exciting. I'm in the process of attempting to get a job with the local PD and getting into the police academy. All that's left is the physical test and that isn't fun for me lol

Love the Portland area, and I also am going to try and lose a few pounds and get in a bit better shape.
