No it couldn't. Pandaria = Pandaren, I assume. Titan is a non-WoW IP.

It's not. Pandaria is already in WoW lore.

Anywho, based on MMOC's disturbing accuracy (and the fact that we saw this exact thing for Cataclysm), this is pretty much confirmed for the next expansion in my book.

Still no emerald dream expansion. Smiley: glare

Edit: And because of the title, I think we can extrapolate that Pandaren will not be a playable race for either faction. Most likely an NPC race. And I'm really struggling to think of who the next villain is without going to new characters. There's not many left.

I think we'd benefit from a new villain, IMO. Besides it'd be nice if someone stayed dead for once. Too many setbacks, not enough victories.

I facepalmed so hard when I read that we'd be fighting Onyxia again in Blackwing Descent.

In response to the OP, as much as I am getting frustrated at Blizzard right now I would probably come back if I could play as a panda. /shame

Well they could do Azshara depending on where Pandaria ends up getting located in the world. (The lore around them is that the location is a secret that no one else has found. The fabled homeland is actually very mythical even for WoW's Lore which makes it a blank sheet for the developers to work with). Also I wouldn't mind new villains and protagonists to enter the scene. To tell the truth I am actually pretty tired of both the current lore villains we fight now, and what looks like what we will fight in the future. I want something fresh that allows a lot of room for the developers to just go wild now and in the future. The idea of an Asian inspired expansion (The little Lore we have of Pandaria almost guarantees it will at least largely be Asian inspired, at least the main island Pandaria) opens up for some interesting new scenery and hopefully a renewed focus on a unified geography theme that was non-existent in Cataclysm.

Well they could do Azshara depending on where Pandaria ends up getting located in the world.
There's also N'Zoth and the resurgence of the Nightmare as a possibility. And, of course, Sargeras isn't exactly dead, so he could be the next big one(though I'm of a mind that when they do that one, it'll likely be the last expansion). Then, of course, the Titans could return despite Algalon's "All-Clear" to re-originate Azeroth.

That's not to mention the potential a schism in the Horde has for producing a villain we'd all be happy to kill. If Garrosh gets kicked out of his leadership position, he could certainly end up teaming up with the wrong people for some revenge. Especially if Pandaria holds some great secret like the barbarian lands in Diablo II held.

Well, there is always room for ANOTHER Lich King. I mean they put a guy ON FIRE inside a FROZEN throne. We know that's not going to end well. I forsee a "Return of the Wrath of the New Lich King" (RotWotNWLK for short or simply "RotWot").

Black Temple could be merely a setback for Illidan. He's probably pissed off everyone keeps linking HIS swords...

Magister's Terrace could be merely yet another setback.

Hogger has great potential. He's only died a few billion times.

Onyxia is admittedly due for an expansion off.

Talon King Ikiss would make an exceptionally formidable expansion boss, especially if they included voice overs for every quest he was in (like Arthas) leading up to the final raid, AND had an over ride to player's muting forcing them to hear is screeching voice AND implemented World of Warcraft Auxiliariay Telephony Audio System (WATAS) which would call your phone and continue to play Ikiss' ranting (for $5 a month you could opt out of WATAS.)

Just imagine your significant other/parents/roomate being woken up in the middle of then night while you're distracted raiding and Ikiss' being on the other line: Ikiss cut you, pretty -- ak-a-ak -- slice you, yes!

It was trademarked the same date, just a few years later as Wrath if I remember what I read earlier. So it seems pretty obvious that it'll be the next exp. Now we wait till more stuff is datamind as we get closer to Blizzcon this year to figure out if it is a class exp, or a race exp. I wouldn't mind either.

It would be hard to give just one race Pandas, but what if there is a lore twist were the reason we haven't seen the Pandarians for so long is because they have been taken over by the Old Gods? Maybe their are a few that have escaped the control of the Old Gods, they worn us, and maybe teach the Dwarfs and Orcs (Or Tauren, hard to say) how to be brewmasters? New class, no one rages about not getting the coolest joke race in all of World of Warcraft, and they have a lore way of not being a complete joke.

We could have the corrupted ruler of the Pandarian's as the main evil of the expansion. All the while he is really just a puppet of the Old Gods (Al though that does sound a little too close to Deathwings story.) Maybe just straight up have an Old God as the main villain. They have such great powers as to corrupt places hundreds of scale miles from their domain, why haven't they been the main boss of an expansion yet?

Flood of the Lich King! The melting of Icecrown Glacier! Smiley: nod

That reminds me I'm going to have a little conversation with the spirit healer next time I die. Hopefully I can convince her to be a little more selective. Put a stop to things before they put an Undead Hogger as the last boss in Naxx for the first tier of the next expansion...

But, but... I'm already a brewmaster... Smiley: frown

I'd still like a healing hero class; but I'll just consider myself lucky if they don't add a ninja/samurai class or something. Monks, Bards, runecasters... I dunno.

Then again, they could make brewmaster a profession, or maybe a cooking specialization. I could go for that. Smiley: grin

Ooo, stream of consciousness post, woot!

Yeah I listened to all of the OMFGCata video, and I agree with them when they say, this expansion is so left field, that no one really knows what is going to happen. For me, the lore geek, WoW just got interesting again. And once they revel how they f it up, it will go back to being less interesting.

Yeah if this is the expansion this is my feeling too. Forget the absurdity of how the Pandaren came to origin (Warcraft III April Fools joke), they are now part of the lore of the world and it is lore that has been heavily disregarded and opens up a whole new dimension of possibilities for the world at large. A Blank slate for the developers and story writers to just go wild on, new locations that haven't been discovered or told about to death, new enemies that come with an exotic new locale that were kept in mystery. This is the developers chance to break away from the standard mold (Lets beat all the enemies from previous warcraft games and do nothing new!) and give us an expansion that feels completely different then the previous ones.

As I've learned more about WoW lore in the last year or so (after first looking into who this Deathwing character was after I got into the beta last year), I have to admit it would be nice to have a fresh new villain.

That said, I am really hoping for an Emerald Dream type expansion at some point. Maybe that'll be part of this next one? I really love druid lore.

This. Malfurion managed to contain the Nightmare to a tiny portion of the dream, but it's still there.

I did some research and found this!!! Unbelievable!!

Quote:
However, nearly four years later, I had enough of a mind to peruse them all. A lot of PDF-format conversions of early Gamespy previews, patents Blizzard took out for WoW, and so forth. I did find, however, a list of 'possible expansion sets' that looks really interesting.

Plane Set

Pandaria - 1 to 10
Hiji - 10 to 20

Wolfenhold - 1 to 10
Xorothian Plains - 10 to 20

The Green Lands - 85 to 86
The Dying Paradise - 87 to 88
The Emerald Nightmare – 88 to 89
The Eye of Ysera - 89 to 90
