Well yeah, but some people fail at google. Or wowhead. Doesn't hurt to have a list here too.

Guess all you have to do is provide a link to the list on wowhead which sorted all of the rep gear by occupation and you'll make this post moot, right?

What I find interesting by looking at this list, is that Casters get 1-2 pieces more than Melee, esp. Plate Melee.

Look at that Cloth list, sheesh. 7 Pieces vs Plate Melee's 3.

Must be nice to be a gearing up S.Priest...

You can rate Theo down as much as you want, he's still right.

Back when Cata came out there was a blog post on wowhead that listed the rep rewards by armor/role type, but I can't seem to find it now. So it's entirely possible that rusttle posting this is useful. :-)

There's a combo of spirit and non-spirit stuff in there so technically speaking I've mixed the dps and the healer stuff.

Not until he provides his link to wowhead with the gear already sorted by occupation in the same easy format I've put it in. ;-)

I could have sworn Therazane enchants weren't BoA for some reason. That just goes to show how much I don't pay attention.

It's because they're not. The top-end Sons of Hodir ones were, but these are not. A quick visit to Wowhead confirms this.

I know rusttle isn't on either of your Top 10 lists, but you gotta give credit where credit is due.

It's not hurting anyone and it might actually help some. I see no reason to pick on him over this.

Thanks for the list. Even though this stuff is easy to find on Wowhead, it's nice to see it all on one post in an easy to read format.

I've been lazy getting gear for my Shaman's resto offspec and this post reminded me about rep items. I can buy like 4 or 5 pieces today :)
#15REDACTED, Posted: Mar 17 2011 at 9:39 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) It just seems a little late to be posting this now. It's already like 4 months into cata, most people know what's going on now. It would be like me creating a thread for raid strats, most people know by now how to do them.

Keyword being "most." I'm not saying the post is a life-altering revelation, but it makes life easier for those of us not as proficient in the Wowhead site.

To be honest, before this thread, I'd use Wowpedia to look up each faction and then find the rewards there. This sure makes it easier.

And generally, I think it's bad mannered to ridicule someone for helping out, regardless of how useful that help might be. Rusttle went through the trouble of linking every piece of item into an easy-to-read guide. That alone is more useful than the last dozen threads we've had in here.

I used to use the armory for all faction related stuff, but the new armory doesn't seem to let me pick a faction and see all their rewards.

Remember that some of these aren't suitable for either healing or DpSing. You COULD use them, yeah. But you're gonna want to replace them much sooner (where some rep items will last until you start raiding, afaik).

Nice for them, yeah, but kinda a necessary evil for as long as casters don't share all stats.

The post will be useful for me. Will it save me from extreme pain? No. But it'll save me time, I assume, and that's nice.

P.S. I knew Theo and rusttle didn't get along--never realized Aeth was in that too. :P Or do rusttle and elitists just not see eye-to-eye?

Thank you. The list will be convenient and quicker than searching all over Wowhead for the different factions.

People seem to be a bit trigger happy right now. I never ridiculed rusttle, don't know how it came off that way. I simply said it seemed a little late since a majority of the people are probably past this point in Cataclysm. I never said it wasn't useful or wouldn't help anyone, but alas this is the interwebz.

EDIT: Quotes are hard!

My only beef is the fact that the Shoulder enchants are NOT BoA, as verified by Furious. I'm all for understanding that it was nice enough for Rusttle to do this, but please get that fixed. It'll annoy the crap out of me and make me wonder what else is possibly wrong with the list.

I simply don't get why people need or want these kind of lists when it's so easy to search wowhead for the available items for a slot, check which is the best (especially now that Wowhead ranks them for your class and spec) and see where it comes from, if you can't get it easily check for the second and third best.
And you pass the rep vendors anyway so generally I know if they have anything useful for me and at what rep, if I forget I check ingame in atlasloot.

So everyone doesn't go to wowhead and generate a gear list of pre-raid gear, using stat weights of course, for every slot for every commonly played spec of the main toons they play?

I check these forums almost everyday, so a new topic is nice to see and read through. I don't mind if stuff gets repeated, it is some activity on the boards.

Keeping that in mind, I find it sort of interesting to read the arguments for and against posting on a message board. The thing that always gets me is that there is a certain set of people that feel it is not necessary to post certain questions or information because it has already been done. The thing is that you end up with a book instead of a forum. The whole point of a forum is to have conversations, while the game is not changing that rapidly you end up talking about older stuff.

That is the whole point of a forum. I get my jollies either way as I get to read the discontent and satisfy my need to waste time waiting to get off work...
