Is tomorrow's maintenance an extended one? I assume so if patch day, but I hope not since I was hoping to play tomorrow, considering I finish classes by 3...

Jeez, that WAS a long set of patch notes O_o

Quote:
* Kinetic Bombs used during the Blood Prince Council fight will no longer behave oddly if they spawn near the door at the entrance to the room.

That one stood out to me. They're fixing minor IcC-fight bugs? NOW?

I like how they buffed Ice Lance as well.

PvP as a Feral is dead.

Did not see the Berserk fear immunity nerf in that list. Did it not go live?

edit: I fail at reading.

Nerfed to the ground.

These are the people who balance our game.

Yeah this one actually makes me sad:

It's been saving my butt in 5-mans with some frequency. Now I'm actually going to have to rely on my tank more.

I just think it's funny beyond healthy that they're fixing a bug related to instant Roots when they're also removing instant Roots in the same patch.

Really, it makes me wonder if they have any idea what the @#%^ they're doing.

I found that once I geared up some (I'm at 2500 or so resil right now) I started to be able to kill most locks easily. Especially Affliction locks. It takes a while, sure, but they are easy enough to control, and their damage is easy enough to mitigate.

Looking forward to seeing what I can do with the little damage output buffs coming to the sub tree!

Here's hoping the hunter buffs will let me go BM without being laughed out of groups. I've been forced into SV for the past few months and while it's not bad, I much prefer BM given a choice.

I'll admit, my Hunter is poorly geared (can't do heroics yet), but he's pushing almost identical DPS in MM and SV. Around 12k in both specs on bosses. I'm sure more Mastery will put SV ahead, but right now it seems almost silly that they're nerfing SV and buffing MM, considering they do equal damage at my current gear level.

I prefer Cobra Shot, but I really, really love Chimera Shot as well. Nothing like opening up with a shot that does more damage than Kill Shot.

At lower gear levels hunter may be equal, but at end game levels, raiding type, you're seeing SV doing 3-4x as much DPS as the other two specs, in some fights, 2x as much as both specs COMBINED.
The hunter balancing is looking better after the patch, so maybe I can finally try out Beast Mastery.

Er, if you think a ~50% DPS difference is "about the same" then yeah, MM and SV are roughly equal.

In raids and heroics, SV is far, far ahead of MM and BM.
