Has Zam stopped posting AH prices?

Everybody is now being forwarded to Wowhead, looks like. I liked the ah prices, used them a lot for stuff that I was trying to sell & had no clue what the going price was, and my auctioneer was less than accurate. Wowhead has a buyout price listed, but...meh, tbh I've never liked that site.

Edit: I was rated down because I said I didn't care for Wowhead? Jeez...
I do know all about the difference in types of the same armor, I understand servers are different price-wise, I simply liked Alla's ah database. There was an actual listing of prices things sold for in the previous 2 yrs, which is how they got the average prices shown. I like Alla's forums because they have a personality, and searching for items was easy here. Wowhead is more data oriented, and I only went there when I couldn't find it here or on Wowwiki now Wowpedia.

The AH prices were generally off-base anyway, what they suggested as a mean price would be way low on one of the servers I'm on or way high on another. Just look at your item, stats on it and look for similar items (gigi's sword of BLANK instead of gigi's sword of spirit would show you the other random buffs on that item currently listed)

If nothing else is listed try tripling the vendor price on the item and then drop if it doesn't sell. Works fine for an item or two but best would be to work your addons so they're up to date with more realistic prices on your realm.

Any composite price that includes any other server but your own (including your own in the non-short-term past) can't be expected to be accurate to better than an order of magnitude. It's good for telling if what you're looking at is, say, twink gear or a ridiculously rare pattern, but for everyday stuff not so much.

An addon is worth the effort, especially if you pursue a crafting profession for any reason other than making yourself endgame gear. Also, some realms are tracked on The Undermine Journal, assuming it's able to continue.

I like using Auctionater. Fast and light weight Addon that does help you find the most up to date prices in the Auction house. But Wowhead can give you an average price over a certain amount of time. But right now all Ah prices goes up and down very fast due to Cata.

I use Auctionator which is great, but for items I had no price info on I found that the Allakhazam database was very accurate for my server. I'll miss it, but it's not a big issue.

On most servers I sell green weapons for around 20g regardless of level (I sell "Of the disenchant" types for around 5% past vendor price).
For gear, "Of the super useful" such as bear, I sell for around 15G, of the useless is around 5% over vendor price.
For level 40 plate and mail, sell strength plate for twice your normal price (until around level 50 gear) and agility mail for the same. Intellect mail I'd go for around 1.5x the normal price.
It's not the most profitable way by ANY means, but it gets you gold and gets gear out there at a fair price.

I still prefer the lazy way and use Auctioneer as with the fast scan option it takes seconds to do and i am always having to sell stuff anyway so it makes full use of my time.

Why guess when you can get a reasonable result from an addon ? .

My results are reasonable as sometimes i lose but usually i win = around 2.5k a week just from reselling others badly priced auctions.
