WoWWiki is user-edited (it's a wiki). So, it'd say that because a user found out that it was predicted for the 8th, and changed it.
I just looked up 3.3 on it, and is says "2 December 2009." So it is far from official (I highly doubt anyone at Blizzard edits it. And, if they do, it isn't with non-released/official/canon information).

I don't see any announcements yet, but once they're up, you can look at the following link for your region. It should be up within a couple hours.

Maintenance is usually scheduled from 3am to 11am PST on NA servers, and 3am to 11am CET on EU servers.

On major patch days (X.X patches) the maintenance hours are pretty screwy. Normal maint (as stated) is around 3AM-11AM PST, on patch days I have seen it take as long as 6-7PM PST for them to come up, so I wouldn't have anyones hopes up to be raiding ICC tomorrow. My guild sure isn't with how all of the other instances get crashed/lagged out constantly within the first week of patch day.
Just went to log on and the news screen says maintenance from 1am till 11am, that seems to be an unusually long maintenance.

Yes, always is. But don't expect the servers to be back up and running at 11am PST. They are generally down for extended maintenance (which maybe that is what they are doing with starting at 1am instead of 3am - but we will see). Just plan to have other things to do at 11am PST/2PM EST incase they aren't up yet.
Fortunately, I will be at work until 5EST, so we will see how it goes.
