I completely understand why flying mounts won't be allowed in the early levels of WotLK. But, I have to say it's really going to suck. For anyone that's had flight (and especially epic flight) for a long time, it's just second nature to fly in and out of just about everything you do in Outland. Getting you first mount at 40 (30) was a change, but not as big a change as being able to fly. It's going to take some major adjustment and getting to 77 won't happen fast enough.

It's not bad at all. It's forcing you to actually fight your way through (or stealth through for use awesome people Smiley: grin) mobs instead of just flying up to target quest mob, killing him, and returning to quest giver.

I'd already be 77+ in beta if we had flying from level 70.

WTH! That pr!ck got there again before we did?

This has to stop!

Someone has to put this madman down once and for all!

And we're going to be helping. The Druids for Ethical and Humane Treatment of Animals (D.E.H.T.A) are after him, complete with wanted poster.

You don't think they're pissed about the times I killed the entire herds of clefthoof just so I could test out some AoE spells, do you?

I've been totally buried in all the wotlk stuff over the past few weeks but I have made this into a wiki user guide and given you and Deathknight.info full credit on it. You folks can access it here: http://wow.allakhazam.com/wiki/Unlocking_Flight_in_Northrend. Mass rateups for finding that Poldy.

WELL THEN MY ROGUE WOULD LIKE AN INVISIBLE FLYING BICYCLE

Well, easy. We'll give you a gargantuan, invisible, second hand vibrator to fly on.. Since it's invisible, you won't be able to tell the difference anyway.

It will be yours. Oh yes - it will be yours...

please don't ask where I got that gargantuan, second hand thingy - it's embarrassing, kk?

[edit]Captain Spelling saved the day! Whoohoo!

I was able to simply talk to Pilot Vic and train right away for 1000G without doing any of the Lakeside Landing quests. Nice, but actually a little disappointed at not have to "work" for it.

Necro posts are a bad idea, little guy. This topic was made in July. It's quite a bit colder now than it was five months ago in Beta.
