So the last "Post Your UI" thread I saw was from February, and I know some of you have changed your UI more times than your underwear since then.

What type of player are you? Are you the ZOMG! I need all the info at once! type player, or the Everything has a place, and there is a place for everything type player? Do you try to see as much of the world... of warcraft as you can, or do you like hide your surroundings under another DPS meter? Do you go for lightweight add ons, or can any problem be solved by throwing more RAM at it? Which is more important: form or function?

Here is my current incarnation. It was put together with the first priority being clean lines and visual heirarchy. I also wanted something that would transition well between my rogue, my priest in the mid 50s and my 16 druid. If I ever get the energy to get my priest to 70, then I will add things like Grid and Clique.:

Inactive, targeting an NPC. Cooldowns shown between health bars. Buffs in upper right hand corner. Fubar shown simply for illustration (normally hidden).
i4.photobucket.com/albums/y143/dgqfan/ScreenShot_060308_213312.jpg

Highlighting more buffs, bag and waypoint placement. Weapon buffs are below my unit frame. The buttons under the cooldowns are dynamically created buttons for quest items.
i4.photobucket.com/albums/y143/dgqfan/ScreenShot_060308_214002.jpg

In combat. SCT, enemy cast bad on top of their frame (alerts sent to SCT when casting starts). My combo points on them displayed on their name plate (and sent to SCT).

As you can see, there are still some issues to be resolved. The tracking button on the minimap needs to be moved to fubar. The map itself needs to align with something. I am considering moving the map to the upper right and the buffs to the lower right. As it stands now, the buffs feel rather disconnected. I would like them near my nameplate, but I have the weapon buffs under my unit frame, debuffs on my above my unit frame (with additional bars for flight time, casting time, and dot tracking).

I am hoping to take some SS the next time I run 5s. There are some other features not shown that will pop up in Arena.

Here is a (almost complete) list of the add ons I use:
XPerl
Prat
Bartender
Buffalo 2
Cooling 1
Tomtom
WitchHunt
Quartz
Fubar
SimpleMiniMap
Baggins
nQuestLog
GuildFu
HonorFu
QBar
LynStats (slightly modified the LUA here)
DMB (for BG timers)
Control Arena for Arena matches

------

Link to my UI:
http://files.filefront.com/psichi+UIzip/;10562573;/fileinfo.html

It is set for 1680x1050. If you have a different resolution, you will need to make some adjustments. Also, it is set around PvP, so there are no raid frames that show up... they are there, but if you want them you have to configure them yourself.

If you don't know how to install a UI comp, try google.

Mine - now with Photobucket goodness (since imageshack was blocked).

You already gave me a run down Psi, and I am looking at yours and scratching my chin. I see some things I can do better and I am going to play around with it, probably this weekend.

Stuff I know I am using off the top of my head:

FuBar (with tons of plugins)
Recount
Omen
KTM (sometimes)
SimpleMiniMap
Bongos3
Buffalo2
Cycircled
Prat
Group Calendar
NugieComboBar
EnergyWatch
Xperl (with packs)
Bulk2Inbox
Auctioneer

Here is mine for my hunter

http://usera.imagecave.com/tsuk/WoW/WoWScrnShot_060108_150517.jpg

I use (if i dont forget anyone):

Alpha Map (Cartographer doesn't work with questhelper for me any more -.-)
Quest helper
Tomtom
MozzFullWorldMap (add on for Alpha Map)
Titan Bars
Bongos

I think that is all. The blank area above where the menu buttons are (o the bottom right) is where I've placed my Pet Action Bar.

I don't have a pic on this comp of my shaman's. Her stuff is all over the place too.
But I know where the stuff is, so it works for me.

There are many that make me cringe.

But it all comes down to personal preference. I prefer to have things nice and orderly. Some prefer a visual rape.

And why does it not surprise me that BarkingTurtle prefers the latter?

Because if BT did something that didn't involve lots of crying and shame, the earth would stop spinning.

I'm pretty sure this was posted in the Druid forum originally, but if it was from =21, sorry for the repost. XD

You may want to rehost that, as some people have been having trouble with Imageshack being blocked... Not sure if it is a regional thing or an Alla thing.

A post was made in the feedback forum, but the Admins can not duplicate the error.

Oh dear sweet jesus.

How the **** do you play like that?

I mean, I realize that healers stare at healthbars, but that's a little bit extreme.

For some reason, I <3 UI threads. I never have that perfectly pleasing UI or anything, but I am particularly proud of my latest concoction.

Raid UI
The box with all the raid members' names flashes for the screenshot on a boss kill (or any time I take attendance, it's my backup in case I crash and lose the list data). I also forgot to hide the Loot Monitor anchor and the Incubator anchor until today ><. Also, the quest tracker in the bottom left is typically not there, it popped up on Shade though as I had that quest.

(And man, two of my Shaman fail at popping Bloodlust at the right time >< GG 3 seconds before he died! Also <3 Smite. When not healing, I'm often holy fire/smite spamming. Or running around with golden sparkley bubbles)

Soloing UI
Now, it may look like I'm a "clicker" with all those buttons off to the right, but they are either non-essential buttons, or stuff I swap in and out based on circumstance (Vashj macro, Spitfire totem macro, Demon Chains macro, Vent Macro, Solarian healing macro, etc). The important stuff is all keybound on the left.

As I'm sure you can see in the performance thingy, I do run pretty high amounts of addons (63MB in the soloing one, 79 in the raiding one), but I don't experience slowdowns of any sort (short of server issues).

So, you can probably tell, I like my information in front of me. Often times, I do need it though, as I am the Guild and Raid leader, so quick access to relevant information is rather important.

So, the list!
Unit Frames - Pitbull
Raid Frames - Grid (with mana bars, side indicators, and a few other tweaks)
Buff Frames - Satrina Buff Frames
Action Bars - Bartender 4
Minimap - SimpleMiniMap
Info Bars - FuBar (With PerformanceFu, QuestsFu, BagFu, MailFu, MoneyFu, ClockFu, GuildFu, and LocationFu)

Other Addons:
SmartDKP, SmartML (heavily modified by myself) - DKP and DKP Bidding utilities
EKRaidAttend - Raid Attendance utility
BigGuild - Enhanced Guild Window, with Export capability
AtlasLoot Enhanced
ClosetGnome - Equipment Swapper
WoWEquip - Gear Profiler (and allows you to preview your stats with different gear)
GloFoShow - Weapon Enchant previewer (basically, a toy)
ClearFont2 - Default Blizzard font is lose
BigBrother - Raid Buff/Consumable monitor, CC Breaker monitor
XRaidStatus - Raid Buff and other parameter monitor (Raid Health, Mana, that sort of thing)
Recount - Damage Meter
LoggerHead - Turns on combat logging based on zone (I use the logs in coordination with wowwebstats to parse fights and see either room for improvement, or what people are doing right)
Incubator - Mob Respawn timers
TinyTip - Tooltip mod
Quartz - Cast Bar
Auctioneer Advanced Suite (Auctioneer Advanced, Enchantrix, BottomScanner, Swatter, etc)
ArkInventory - Inventory Management
XLoot and XLootMonitor - Looting utilities
Prat - Chat Addon
ORa - Main Tank Targets and the like
BigWigs - BossMods
Omen - Threat Meter (not that I particularly need it as holy... but it's habit)
Decursive - Quick dispelling of adverse effects
DrDamage - Rough Theorycrafting of what each skill should do (damage or healing)
Cartographer package - Maps and more maps and more tweaks for maps
Scrolling Combat Text (and SCTD) - For um... Scrolling Combat Text! (Imagine that!)

I think that's it. It's a lot for sure, and I could probably cut half of them and barely notice. But, until I actually have framerate or other issues from them, they're staying!

I really like all your guys addons.

But I have a couple of questions.

What Addon are you running for your key bindings?
I've been looking for one for sometime and haven't really found one i liked.

I would post mine but with this being my first post, it would be assumed to be keylogged :P

I like the looks of that. im not a fan of the hidden bars personally. they look slick, but ive tried it and just didnt like.

I dont click on my stuff, and everything is keybound (damn near everything at least) but still i just gotta have it up there. I wouldnt want to blow 63 MB, but i think i could achieve a similar style for much much less.

Thanks for the inspiration.

The only way I can view images hosted at Imageshack is to view them in an IE tab. Perhaps I should find that thread and make a mention of it?

EquipCompare (when looking at any item in chat, auction or inventory/bank, it shows what I have equipped right next to it)
FastDisenchant (auto loots from enchanting and prospecting results)
FishingBuddy
Fubar 3
HealBot (Don't use it, but have it just in case)

WIM (WoW Instant Messenger, tells are displayed in a seperate window)

Your toon almost has an identical name as my druid alt. Mine is Dither (w/o the s). I was in Photoshop for a few days before I made that alt, and it was the first thing I thought of.

Bartender or Bongos are the two main ones.

And as long as the image is from a recognized site (Photobucket, imageshack, etc), you will be fine.

The truly 1337 don't need them.

Almost ever action you see on those bars is keybound. Bongos3 provides a nice easy way to effectively keybind every button on your action bar. Mine are just not shown because its distracting :P. I know people that don't even show their bars, I like too.

I will post mine when I get home.

I only show my abilities that I click (mana pot etc) and the abilities that have cooldowns. I will need to check out some of the addons in this thread, I tend to be the addon-***** of my guild.

Here's mine. There's a link in my signature, but I think I'll be swapping PitBull out for X-Perl and making other changes, mostly appearance-related: as it is my UI is pretty clunky (at least in my opinion) and doesn't make enough use of my screen space.
